AllStarlink and Dvswitch on the same raspberry
IK7VXC Mike
I'm tempted to try and install AllStarlink and DVSwitch server on the same raspberry. Is it true though that I won't be able to use Supermon and the dvswitch dasboards? What limitations will I have installing the 2 systems on the same machine?
Thanks -- IK7VXC Mike

I can tell you that Allmon2 works and Supermon is based on Allmon. You will not easily install DVSwitch Server on a hamvoip image. The only issue is are you going to connect a radio to the RPi. That answer will guide you to how to do the install. Steve N4IRS

Well what I had in mind was to install the image you released with both systems (which I guess it's based on Buster not hamvoip) and no I'm not going to connect a radio to the RPi. The aim is mostly see if I can spare a Raspberry.

Then it will be no problem. That image does not support OSS, so no
simpleusb or usbradio.

Ok, so what about Supermon? Do I have to install it later? And what about the dvswitch dashboard? There won't be an ip conflict?

Yes, you will have to install Supermon. Our image does not include
and AllStar dashboard. It does include the DVSwitch dashboard.

By default, the DVSwitch dashboard is at port 80 the web monitor is at port 8080 These can be changed. Installing Supermon should not require it's own web server so there will be no port conflict. Steve

Thank you. If I remember correctly you already described to someone a step-by-step on how to add Supermon. I guess I have to locate that thread.

Ok. So the server is running fine and I installed Allmon2. I can login on the web interface but it says "could not login to Asterisk Manager". What have I missed? I also badly need to disable the telemetry (which is driving me nuts) so I badly need to have full access to the Control Panel (which doesn't work because I could not login to asterisk manager).
Can you give me a little help here? Thanks -- IK7VXC Mike

Check the password in manager.conf matches the password in allmin.ini.php

Ok Steve, I finished installing DVSwitch (which is working just fine). However regarding its dashboard at port 80 I get "THIS IS A TEST !If you see this the web server is working." while at port 8080 I get "upgrade required". What shall I do? Thanks -- IK7VXC Mike

Last night I did a clean reinstall and decided to stick to Allmon2 for the moment. Everything went well but when I started the Allmon2 interface it says "waiting ..." What did I miss? (user and pass are the same in manager.conf and allmon.ini.php).

Thanks Steve you're a life saver!!!
One other problem: I find to be very convenient to use Bitvise either for ssh and for TFTP. But when I use TFTP - even if I log in with enabled elevated rights - I find I can't really move files around because I don't have enough permissions, so I'm forced to resort to ssh. Is there a way I can REALLY have root rights with Bitvise so that I can have full control of the files? Thanks -- IK7VXC Mike
