Hello,
its possible to that hblink can add or generate the ovcm bit?
I know mmdvmhost can do it but I used a old openspot and i will be nice if hblink can do this job.

Good Morning Randy,

Yeah I noticed that after I pasted the wrong file lol. I didn't want to keep tagging on the post. However, it seems the problem resolved itself.

To me it seems when the bridge is connected, by default slot 1 opens up on tgif. After about an hour or so then it will fire over to slot 2.

So I am not going to mess with it at this point, just to kind of monitor how it rolls over time.

Thanks again Randy.

I'm curious if perhaps Corey is still on the email list and might give some insight into IPV6 on BM 3104.

You would need to attach (or copy/paste) your config files if you're looking for help on this.

TGIF and HBLink

Aaron Groover

I do not know if its me or the system, however when I make my rules.py and hblink.cfg it seems that all transmissions still roll over to time slot 1 while transmitting on slot 2. Even though I have it selected as time slot 2. Weirdest thing I ever seen honestly. However when I switch it over to time slot 1 in rules and cfg then it doesn't transmit.

Does TGIF not acknowledge time slot 2 or is this normal on their end? here's a log for example. Transmits just fine though. Not sure if its a peer thing or what. Any insight would be appreciated.

It does but you will need to install an additional tool from the MMDVM_CM repo, YSF2DMR and add it as a peer via a DMR connection to a master. HBLink is a DMR master server only. Use the connection to bridge to your desired talkgroup and your good to go. You can either install and compile YSF2DMR on the local server or remote. Be sure to set up your ports, IP’s and forwarding as nessassary. Compile your code using make, make install.

Re: HBLink Timeout tone

Randy AA6RH

That would take some major changes to how HBLink works, since it currently only functions based on network traffic coming into the program. This would require a timer and some manner of sending pre-encoded AMBE audio of a timeout tone to a talk group, that's not a trivial thing.

That being said, it would be pretty interesting to try and solve the problem. Not sure if there's anyone here who's interested in taking that on.

Thanks Randy!

I’ll put a ticket in for a open bridge. It really is the best way to connect IMO. Just easier on servers and the load.

Thank you for your help sir!

Short answer; the looping is happening because BM doesn't want HBLink signing in as a peer.

Ok,

So far everything seems to be working on the TGIF side with no errors. However with BM i get loops. I have changed the selfcare password as thats been a thing for a while now and it still loops. It logs in but gives me this. I just wan to make sure this is the normal log file for BM. If not would someone guide me in the right direction if they do not mind? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks to N4IRS for a great system. Great work sir!

HBLink Timeout tone

DanM

Hi All,

Is there a way of getting HBlink to broadcast an audible tone just before a talkgroup times out?

I have HBlink set  up on a private DMR network and there is one talkgroup which is essentially an RX only rebroadcast of another private frequency.  this one talkgroup is set up on  10 min timeout, but currently there is no indication that the timeout is about to occur, an audible tone played on that TG just before timeout is what i'm aiming for.

any suggestions?

Thanks very much
Dan

[hblink3:master] New Comment on Pull Request #18 Update requiremets - prepped for docker multi-arch
By ShaYmez:

The dependencies in requirements.txt are out of date. Not that they dont work, but i decided to upgrade to the latest dependency ver which includes fixes in dmr_utils for moto repeaters specifically. Its not fully tested back to debian 9 but certainly works nicley on deb 11 which should be supported by now. Ive added a dockerfile and and docker-compose for use of docker. This repo doesnt include one and is probably a good idea so people can build from source. Ive updated the readme to include a mult-arch prebuilt image which has been compiled from source since the miner commits back in febuary. You can look at the commits to see if you want to merge part or in full. its up to you, i just thought id share. ;). What are your thoughts?
