dvs is not in your path. The script adds /usr/local/dvs to non
privileged user.

DVS Menu not work on an existing Linux installation
Hello,
I’m trying to install DVSwitch Server on a Linux Server with Debian 9 64bit, following a pdf-manual. The installation was successful, however the dvs-menu does not start. So I tried Debian 10 64bit next, but the installation ran into an error because the „monit“ package is missing. I installed that manually, but with the same result: The dvs-menu can’t be started.
Current configuration: V-Server with Debian 9 64bit (because that’s where the installation finished successfully)
Thanks in advance! 73 Rudolf

Re: Problem with YSF?
Hello Joe,
FWIW, I have found after entering 900290 (for example) that "Carlton the doorman" will announce "connect" after a delay of 10 seconds or so. Then my call shows on FCS002 dashboard and all works fine after. Doesn't seem to be consistent process however. -- ... tnx ... Tom VE3NY FN03gr

Re: Problem with YSF?
Joe, WB3IHY
Update: Partially figured out what's going on. Seems that my YSF favorites were what stopped working, not the whole YSF network/gateway function as I initially suspected.
So, for example: I used to be able to use "99999|||Parrot" as a line in my favorites. Now, it seems that "137.226.79.115:42020|||Parrot" is what's required. Also, I can no longer enter the YSF Number explicitly to switch to it. I must select it from the list of favorites or list of reflectors. So, in the above example, entering 99999 and sending it in DVSwitch mobile no longer connects me to the parrot. Finally, although selecting from the YSF favorites/TG list functions properly, the DVSwitch dashboard doesn't seem to completely like it. The YSF Net status area will briefly display the connected reflector for a moment and then switch back to "Not Linked" despite the reflector still being so.

Problem with YSF?
Joe, WB3IHY
Recently, I discovered that the YSF network stopped functioning on all three of my DVSwitch installs. Can not get it to connect to any of the reflectors.
All other modes (DMR, P25, NXDN and D-Star) work fine. Only YSF seems affected, despite all green lights on the Dashboard status. After digging through things, (restarting, rebooting, updating, checking the logs, and so on) I may have found a clue. Upon issuing: "sudo ./dvswitch.sh update" I receive only one response: "Error, YSFHosts.txt file does not seem to be valid." So, I deleted that file and reissued the command. Got the same response. I checked the newly downloaded file with a text editor and it SEEMS to be non-corrupted. Checked permissions on the file and they match the others in the directory. Am I missing something? Perhaps they changed something in the structure of the file that DVSwitch isn't now handing/parsing as before?

Re: asl (hamvoip) bridge to DMR
Steve
The bridge is working! But the audio on the server has become unacceptable. Even when 1999 is not connected to public node the incoming audio sounds all pinched and distorted on public node. When i connect to 1999, audio recieved from dmr is good but when talking from analog to dmr its pinched and sometimes lags and sometime doesnt even get sent. any thoughts? Only one public node and 1 private node on the Pi

There is no ISO for x86 or AMD64. You can install on a Debian based VM. See <https://github.com/DVSwitch/DVSwitch-System-Builder> 73, Steve N4IRS

Please disregard the last posting. Restarting the RPi resolved the callsign lookup issue.

Re: P25 Reflector & Dashboard
Greg WB6ZSU
A friend got me going with a Reflector Dashboard per the references below. Everything works fine except that the callsign lookup for the users doesn’t seem to be working. Only the SUID is being shown. The gateway alias is working. Any thoughts on why the user callsigns are not appearing?

[Feature Request] DSTAR callsign routing
I have a Feature Request in the same vein as Private Calls for DMR, DSTAR callsign routing. Since we are using ircdbb could something be added? I attempted to use it. I set up a config entry for the person's call sign. when i'm on DSTAR and hit Macro and select that entry it puts the callsign in the dialer bar. I hear dstar respond that it's trying to link to that. "Linking to "Callsign"". This is what the dashboard looks like: ircdbb entry for the key up: it might work if the target was the callsign vs CQCQCQ. Thoughts?

Not really, though some info is of value.

I would use the DVSwitch Server menu (dvs) to setup the components. run it as user dvswitch: dvs Go through the basic setup for callsign, dmrid etc. When it asks for USRP port, just press enter. Once that is configured, you will need to check the USRP ports for AB in /opt/Analog_Bridge/Analog_bridge.ini [USRP] address = 127.0.0.1 ; IP address of USRP partner (Allstar/Asterisk or another Analog_Bridge) txPort = 32001 ; Transmit USRP frames on this port rxPort = 34001 ; Listen for USRP frames on this port usrpAudio = AUDIO_UNITY ; Digital -> Analog (AUDIO_UNITY, AUDIO_USE_GAIN, AUDIO_USE_AGC) usrpGain = 1.10 ; Gain factor when usrpAudio = AUDIO_USE_GAIN (0.0 to 5.0) (1.0 = AUDIO_UNITY) usrpAGC = -20,10,100 ; Set the agc threshold (db), slope (db) and decay (ms) tlvAudio = AUDIO_UNITY ; Analog -> Digital (AUDIO_UNITY, AUDIO_USE_GAIN, AUDIO_BPF) tlvGain = 0.35 ; Gain factor when tlvAudio = AUDIO_USE_GAIN (0.0 to 5.0) (1.0 = AUDIO_UNITY) The above TX and RX port are the default and correctly match the values in rpt.conf If yours are now different, set them to the above values. For AllStar, you need to use the chan_usrp channel driver. In rpt.conf: Use the pdf as a reference guide. I can tell you very little needs to be changed to make DVSwitch Server work with AllStar (on purpose) Steve
