new dns servers?

Mike, AA9VI

I received an email today, shown below.  I have dnsmgr.conf enabled but I could not find dnsmgr in modules.conf. Does it exist?

Greetings,

Your AllStar nodes are still registering to the old IP of the allstarlink
servers. You will need to restart asterisk to pickup the new IP of the
registration server.

Enabling dnsmgr in modules.conf and dnsmgr.conf will allow asterisk to
periodically refresh the DNS for the registration server and prevent this from
reoccurring in the future.

For individual questions please email helpdesk@....

Re: One way audio DMR > ASL

Perhaps this eve we can do a test.
What node is this attached to ?

I'm thinking now that it is a issue with app_rpt code on the phone port.
And the only immediate solution I see is to create a new private node with dahdi/psudo just for the phone port and connect that to the usrp connected node to get the signaling.
(phone -> usrp probably has no signaling)
You might try that.

If I login to another neighboring ASL node I can tx fine from there.
I'll check the USRP ports and get back to you.

Re: One way audio DMR > ASL

Is your USRP node the node you are connecting to via phone app ?
Can you connect to it via some other node in TX and do the same test ?

I suspect the tx usrp port -> analog bridge port number is incorrect.
OR
Your TX port from analog bridge -> mmdvm is incorrect.

Check that the port numbers match-up.

I should mention that I am running this on a VM in HUB mode and not physically attached to any repeater.

Eric,
The Windows version of IAXRPT was written by Steve W9SH. That is his site you posted a link to. Android IAXRPT was written by Mike N4IRR.

Not sure what is going on.  Is VOX enabled on the node?
Reason I ask is that some users use Zoiper which needs VOX.  Android IAXRPT actually mutes the audio so that if VOX is enabled, the node still unkeys.  But I do not know about the windows app.

Re: Android IAXRPT

Mike,
Thanks for the quick reply. I had also generated an email/comment via the IAXRPT website. You can go ahead and ignore/delete it.

Another question, Some of us occasionally use the windows PC version. When we unkey, the repeater still stays keyed up after de-selecting the PTT. Is it a setting on the user end, the repeater end, combination, or a bug in the software?

Looking forward to the new version. Understand that it maybe some time before it's released. Take your time and don't rush it.

Re: Android IAXRPT

It is the same old one.  Google pulled it because I did not have an up to date privacy policy.  Once I updated the text, they placed it back on the store.
- I am going to post a new version "soon" with better layouts for small screens
- Possible a version that supports an in-app purchase for macros
- USRP support for Analog_Bridge so it works like my iOS app for access to all digital modes.
- Bug fixes for auto-reconnect.

Not sure when this would be ready, I have too many projects...

Android IAXRPT

Eric - N2JHJ <n2jhj@...>

Hope I'm in the right group to ask this. Downloaded the Android IAXRPT app a few months back. Works great. Then for some reason Google Play removed it I think in May or June of this year. Well now it's showing back up. Folks in the Allstar facebook community are saying that it's a new version based on the "whats new", yet the Updated date is July 25, 2016. So, is IAXRPT listed in Google Play a revised 'Unreleased" app or still the same one that's been in the Play/Store for the last two years? Thanks

Re: [DVSwitch] IPSC protocol to HB protocol on ASL to DMR bridge

Tom

Thanks for the info on the new install to setup HB protocol on my ASL-DMR bridge (instead of IPSC).  Before I rebuild my working configuration, is there a way to also use it to continue to access cbridge DMR-MARC connections. I am currently switching between cbridge and BM with shell scripts (ALS DTMF controllable).

Since my current configuration of ASL to DMR bridge also is used to communicate with cbridge DMR-MARC connections (I have shell scripts to change configuration files), will the new build allow this?

After re-reading your querry, I think the issue is the ownership of and/or presence of .htaccess file (hidden)

I was a little off the the first reply.

You probably have not built your menu in ' allmon.ini.php '

you must tell it what to display and how/what fashion you want your lists.
