While not supported & it could change in the future, I have successfully manually converted the *deb files and manually installed them on other “arch” based PI based allstar nodes.  While it works, I’d highly suggest using something Stretch/Raspbian based with the repo’s.  The install is painless & prevents you from possibly missing something.

Not necessarily. I have not tested on other ARM distributions yet. My board "collection" is down right now for relocation. What distribution are you interested in running?
