OK,
So, now I know what I'm dealing with. Did you start with a fresh HamVoIP image?
Do you have a radio connected?

Yes, the host is running both DVSwitch and AllStar. The DVSwitch is supposed to be connected to Allstar private node 1999. I'm able to connect that node to my public node 46040 but I do not receive audio from node 1999. I am trying to connect to the server with both my mobile and a Linux client. My mobile does register but will not allow me to make changes to the server. Linux appears to not connect to the server at all.

I searched and followed a message here on groups.io. That install went smooth and seem to work. I had DVSwitch for years now using it for IAX connections to my Allstarlink nodes. I set it up base on the DVSwitch manual I found here in the file section. I'm using USRP.

Chris,
Let me get a little info first. How did you install DVSwitch Server on HamVoIP? When you say you have DVSwitch installed on your Android phone, I assume you mean DVSwitch Mobile. How are you connecting from DVSwitch Mobile to your node? IAX or USRP? Let's start there.

Brilliant, thanks all.

And yes the "DV stick 30" seems to be the best price in the UK, without getting hammered with import duty / postage costs.

Hi
DVStick 3000 and ThumbDV are same functionality wise but two different companies. Both works fine for me

DStar definitely needs hardware dongle. MD380 will not support DStar

Since he is in the UK the Dvstick 30 would be cheaper for him there.

Yes it will do what you need for DSTAR

I am still new to the digital side of things, is the "DV stick 30" suitable for what I am trying to achieve, or is there something better?

Many thanks & 73

Re: ircDDBGateway log error

F4HWB

Hello

I have same problem :

Debug: DStarRX: found frame sync in None

Repeater server with an IPr :

  • raspberry Pi 4
  • STM32-DVM pihat Modem with firmware updated
  • MMDVMHost
  • Local IPr:62022
  • Local IPr:20011

Gateway server with an IPg :

  • DMRGateway  IPg:62022
  • IrcDDBGateway IPg:20010

In MMDVMHost Log i’have this message :

[…]Debug: DStarRX: found frame sync in None

On MMDVMHost the tcpdump :

IP IPr.20011 > IPg.20010: UDP, length 26

The Repeater server send a good IP and port

In Ircddbgateway server log :

[..]Error returned from sendto (port: 20010), err: 22

On ircddbgateway server the tcpdump :

IP IPr.isdnlog > IPg.20010: UDP, length 26

The gateway receave ‘.isdnlog’ port and not 20011.

The port is correct when i use tcpdump for DMRGateway

Why ? Sole body have the same problem ?

Thank you

Re: Dashboard is not swown correcty

The dashboard port number is determined by the web server. If you rare running nginx and lighttpd with default configurations, both servers are trying to service port 80. Stop lighttpd with:
systemctl stop lighttpd
systemctl disable lighttpd

The upgrade required on port 8080 you can ignore. That is the webproxy used to deliver receive audio.

Well i installed the server with the Raspberry image and no problem at all. It'up&running. I also have a relatively powe VPS with Ubuntu 20.04.
Primarly i use it for my projects so the conf. is nginx primarly.
I installed the dvswitch server on it. Fortunately no problem. dvs starts at first shot and all services is up and running despite the lighttpd was installed there are no issues with the nginx and also ports are correctly configured server side and on the firewall/nat.
Well what happens? All run smoothly except the dashboard. If i connect on port 80 (but i tried even other ports) i can see only the header and the RX button.
It is so strange...even the sound is working but the dashboard is totally missing no error shown.
Worst is for the monitoring that does not answer on default port.
Connecting to port 8080 a message say "upgrade required", then i upgraded googling that "piece" that seemed not update. Fortunatelly i made a snapshot of the vps , i don't lost nothing but that upgrade crashed both lightd and nginx so for sure was not the right solution.
Does someone of you have/had same issues?
I hope i was clear in explaining all because i would like a working solution if it exist. It is a production server so i don't want to play with it unless somo fix/workaround will solve the issue.
To be honest it's not crucial for me because the dvswitch works good so the dashboard give me just the plus of seeing qrz people on my server but nothing more.
Neither the monitoring is crucial due the server is fully monitored already with the cloud tools. So it's just to finish the job nothing more ...and understand how come.
Thanks in advance,
Pietro IU2DLC.

It’s fixed, just did some testing on the system with several on the RF analog side and the DMR audio was great. I chose the 5.0 setting because kv4s recommended it on his setup webpage and previously we tried raising to 2.0 without hardly a bump.
