Has anyone experienced setting up the PI-Star G3 Gateway using a Raspberry Pi  for the gateway using ircDDBGateway??

Have a new repeater with the ID RP2C repeater controller and wanting to setup a Gateway.!!

John,
OK, here is what I suggest:
Make sure your system is up to date.
Make a backup copy of your HamVoIP SD card. Make sure both copies work.
Go to the bash shell from the menu.
cd /
wget http://dvswitch.org/hamvoip
chmod +x hamvoip
./hamvoip
reboot

Start Bash shell interface
/usr/local/dvs/dvs
Do basic setup of DVSwitch

now run the firsttime.sh keep all your existing settings and add a IAX password for use with DVSwitch Mobile

You are set. DVSwitch-Server is connected to your private node 1999
The DVSwitch dashboard is at http://your.node.ip.address/dvswitch
Monit is at http://your.node.ip.address:2812

If you get a error, STOP and ask.

John,
If I understand, you have a existing HamVoIP system and you would like to add DVSwitch Server. You want to be able to access the digital modes from DVSwitch Mobile (Android) and from RF. Do I have this correct? If so I can help.

Hi,
should work by using a origiginal Raspery pi lite OS bullseye ( Lite means no GUI) and installing DVS by script as described in last apendix on manual.
My installation uses about 320 MB Mem incl AR and all Webservices. I use a Raspberry pi 3b so it should work on a pi2w also. I think its depending of the OS, the DVS mem usage is very low.

Chris,

On a RasPi 3B+ running DVSwitch and not much else the memory use is 800 MB.
The W2 has only 512 MB.

I also note that replacing a W with a W2 results in much more heat (expected)
and poorer GPS/NTP performance. The latter to be investigated, but I wonder
whether some harmonic is near the GPS frequency. The speed increase is nice,
but.... This running MMDVM.

Re: DVSwitch after set TX TLV to any value manual in*0 from mobile app ANdroid tlv value stays always to 0

Stefsan

Ive made some investigations and found thats the tlv change will be transported into the Anagog_Bridge.ini with value 0,00 but the problem is the , comma it must be a point. if i change the value manually in Analog Bridge.ini with a dot instead a comma means 0,25 to o.25 manually it works well until i change value in Mobile app from 0* menzue this will affect the comma value instead of a dot.

I remeberer comma and dot problems are often occurs by local setinggs of OS using comma instead of dot but i sett the raspbery bullseys version similar to the buster version (means into german) as always.
Any Ideas?

DVSwitch after set TX TLV to any value manual in*0 from mobile app ANdroid tlv value stays always to 0

Stefsan

Hi
strange thing on aktuell DVSwitch Sewrver on Raspberry pi
Installation manually in new "Bullseye" version of Raspberry. All worked well since weeks. But if i change the TX TLV value from " *0 Menue" on DVSwitch mobile android App ( i choose +0.05) the value does not respond to the choosed value, it goes to 0 and no TX Audio is the result.
No way to bring it back to the old value it says allway to 0 on DMR BM.
Change in AB ini to 0.25 no result still 0.
Atfer new installation of dvswitch server all worked fine again, but when i change the TX TLV value it goes back to gain 0.00 and is not changable. With the old standard image based on buster this efect does not occur only by new installation on standard raspian bullseye version.
Any ideas with tx tlv gain?

Let's get rid of the DMR traffic in the log. Disconnect DMR from TG91
Go back to D-Star and link to REF001E
wait for voice confirm.
Send one 10 second transmission with voice.
Capture MMDVM log from the time you disconnected from 91 to end of log.
