Can I link to a second DMR Talkgroup?

Frank C. D'Amato - KB2MXV

It's been a while since I visited the forum, My DVSwitch has been up and running fine for some time now.

I have my DVswitch connected to bransmeister with a target TG of my radio club (no repeater exists, just a TG we use).  We use an allstar node to connect our analog repeater to my clubs DMR talkgroup

Lets say on Monday nights, there is a DMR net on TG 123456, Is there a way for me to link to that talkgroup during the net, so that my club members can participate using our analog system?

I hope I explained that well

Re: dvswitch mobile phone setup for any internet connection

Doug - W4DBG

The IP Address from IP Chicken is what you put in your mobile/portable device.

The port you have to open/map/forward is for your raspberry pi or whatever you are using as your server.

That port is then what you put in your mobile device.

That’s it.

thank you. ill give that a try. its new to me but will try

already done the static ip address, that was easy

Re: dvswitch mobile phone setup for any internet connection

Doug - W4DBG

You need to assign the device that is the server a static IP address on your LAN.

example: 192.168.1.20

Open the port you have assigned your DVSwitch server to use.

You do that in your router. It will be under gaming/firewall or something similar.

Next you need to know your WAN address if your home internet. This is from your Internet provider.

If you don’t know what it is you can go to ipchicken.com and it will give it to you.

Please note. That address can change often. I would setup a dns service that could even be built in to your router (depending on make and model)

Now that you have the port open and you know your outside address you input that Info into your DVS mobile app and you are set.

Re: Dvswitch server #dvs

Leave your server at home. Open port in router. You will need to know current ip address of router. Connect to it via your phone and Dvsm.

Hi,
I have a dvswitch server setup on a raspberry pi 3. I've set the the static ip address. It's working fine on my home WiFi.

So the question is

How do I make a connection to the pi3 dvswitch server from my mobile phone/network radio when using my phone as a Internet hotspot?

I've looked at port forwarding but not sure if I'm doing it right.

Any tips, pi commands, solution's are welcome.

Re: MMDVM Bridge YSF Packet received from invalid source.

Skyler Fennell

I figured out the problem, by filling LocalAddress with 0, this prevents MMDVM Bridge from complaining.

Before:
[System Fusion Network]
Enable=1
LocalAddress=127.0.0.1
LocalPort=3201
GatewayAddress=127.0.0.1
GatewayPort=4201

After:
[System Fusion Network]
Enable=1
LocalAddress=0
LocalPort=3201
GatewayAddress=127.0.0.1
GatewayPort=4201

MMDVM Bridge YSF Packet received from invalid source.

Skyler Fennell

I have a setup with ASL --> MMDVM_Bridge--> YSF Gateway.

I am using ports 4201 / 3201 to communicate between MMDVM_Bridge and YSF Gateway.

I am getting a substantial amount of error messages as follows:

M: 2022-04-29 18:07:17.469 YSF packet received from an invalid source, 127.0.0.1 != 127.0.0.1 and/or 4201 != 42000

I happen to have a YSF reflector running on the hub on port 42000 that is not to be interfaced whatever with this new instance of MMDVM_Bridge. I checked DVSwitch.ini and MMDVM_Bridge.ini and see no reference to "42000" Is there a reason that this instance is picking up on traffic on a port which it is not supposed to be listening on?

It is sure filling up my log files.

Re: Adding YSF to already established ASL<>DMR system

KC5MOL Javier

I can try to help.  What are you trying to do?  what have you done so far? What is working?

I had to run a separate instance of MMDVM bridge. I started with a working ASL <> DMR setup.  I then Added YSFReflector. Last i got a YSF to DMR bridge going.

A bug in the 64 bit version or operator error?

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I took a working set of Pi ASL .conf files and used to build a AMD64 ASL running on a x86_64 platform under Debian Buster (used the ASL 64 bit package from github).

Everything works EXCEPT I am unable to get my previously working Android (running DVRSwitch Mobile of course) to connect now. Nothing has changed in my iax.conf file nor extensions.conf files

A bug in the 64 bit version or operator error?

Ken

It looks like we have a connectivity issue with dvswitch.org Backhoe through primary and backup fiber conduits. Looks like 6 to 7 hours to repair.
