Steve,

Another year has gone by and I haven’t made it to Hamcation. Maybe someday or even next year.

On my personal todo list for Ham Radio is to build a “Network” radio that just connects to Mototrbo and Linked P25.
Rather than engineer a bandaid version of components I would like to know more about your version.

Could you share your parts/bill of materials that you used for your “Super Duper Network Radio”?

Hamcation (Orlando Hamfest)

Steve N4IRS

Starting tomorrow afternoon and running through Saturday afternoon, I will be pretty much AFK (Away From the Keyboard) I will be in Orlando at Hamcation. Kurt K4SRN, Scott N3XCC and I will be manning outside space in the flea market. Kurt and I have done hamfeasts together in the SE for over 20 years. Scott is from Repeater Builder. He will have a quantity of STM32-DVM MMDVM boards. Stop by and say hi if you are at the hamfest. Scott and I will be available to talk MMDVM Kurt is a subject matter expert in a number of areas. I will have my super duper Network Radio running cutting edge DVSwitch Mobile. Thanks to Scott, we even have a map.

Stop by, shoot the breeze and BUY OUR STUFF! ;)

I am pleased to announce that Russell, KV4S will be taking on the job as editor of the Wiki for the AllStarLink subgroup. For the most part I will leave the Wiki to him and contribute content where ever possible. I encourage all to either contribute content or at least comment on what you need to see in the Wiki. I REALLY hope this cuts down on some of the repetitive questions. I hope we can point people to the Wiki and at least get them started.

If anyone else is interested in helping out with the Wiki for a subgroup, please contact me offlist.

Yes it can. It will require two ASL installs.

For decent D-Star audio you must have the Hardware Vocoder. Period.!

Thank you everyone. I got it working with ircddbgatewayd compiled from the better source you provided.

My main issue was not having an example conf file, weird they don’t ship the package with one.

Thanks to the group for sending that conf file.

P.s. DSTAR Audio seems to be YUCK using analog_bridge op25 on the Analog—> digital. Very bassy and cuts out on low level, are there any adjustments or EQ? Maybe there is some usrp EQ program.  I probably need to get a USB dv dongle, but I really wish everything could run at the same vm server...

I missed the original issue by not seeing enough of the email for some reason.

I could not get mine installed for the lack of ability to install wxwidgets.
Seems like a massive install requirement for a little install.
Not sure why, but wxwidgets will not compile for me so I put it aside.

Re: ircddbgateway install command line only

Skyler,
Here is template you can use
<http://dvswitch.org/files/HAM/ircddbgateway>

Depending on the parameters ircddbgatewayd will look in /etc/opendv.
Be aware G4KLX has been updating his own github directory for ircDDBGateway.

Re: one way audio - time out

Steve N4IRS

Kevin,
Maybe you have a second copy of MMDVM_Bridge running.
try ps ax | grep MM
netstat -unap will show you all of the programs listening on UDP ports.

Run both tests with MMDVM_Host shutdown.

Mike,

The strange thing is that everything was working fine last night, woke up today and this is what I have! I looked at the rpt.conf, that looks fine and I have tried all the masters!!
