So,
We found the issue.  Here is the clue. This is MMDVM_Bridge trying to TX to a D-Star reflector:

I: 2018-12-28 04:56:12.435 D-Star, Begin TX: src=3108034 rpt=301815 dst=9 slot=2 cc=1 metadata=3108034

Notice the Metadata: metadata=3108034
That is the call sign received from Analog_Bridge.
That is what is being passed to ircDDBGateway as a callsign. This is BAD.

The problem was that Analog_Bridge could not resolve the DMRID. In this case because the Analog_Bridge.ini was pointing to a invalid dmrid file.
Once that was fixed the TX line looks like this:
I: 2018-12-28 04:56:12.435 D-Star, Begin TX: src=3108034 rpt=301815 dst=9 slot=2 cc=1 metadata=K0JSC

Now we have audio.

Jeff, FYI
I copied the ID file from /var/lib/dvswitch to /opt/Analog_Bridge because it was quick. You should fix Analog_Bridge to point to the data file in /var/lib/dvswitch.

Note, All of the above does point out that Mike and I need to look at the logic of resolving and passing Metadata. One more thing for the list.

Re: D-Star

I have not been able to find a how-to and it took me a while to get it to work. You will need another component that is not currently installed: IRCDDBGATEWAY. Below is the setup overview:

XRF <-> ircDDBGateway <-> MMDVM_Bridge <-> Analog_Bridge <-> USRP target

This thread helped me debug some issues:

ircDDBGateway was the biggest pain in the neck to get working. I was using command line only, no GUI and ,there is no conf file to begin with. So you will need to get a copy of this conf file and edit for your needs:

You will need to grab ircDDBGateway from here:

dvswitch.ini multiple instances

I need some help I've been experiences audio disappearing whenever I try setting up multiple instances of MMDVM. It works fine when using one instance but when I add a second or more that's when the issue appears. I've been duplicating the MMDVM_Bridge folder and calling it MMDVM_Bridge_TGXXXX. In the duplicated folder I make the program and ini also represent the name changed.

However the DVSwitch.ini remains the same.

after seeing this in the comments

; MMDVM_Bridge export / import configuration file.
;   This file should be placed along side of MMDVM_Bridge or it can be
;   supplied as a path on the MMDVM_BRIDGE environment variable.

I'm thinking i need to make my DVSwitch.ini unique on the other instaces as well but i don't know how to do it for the environment variable?

would it be added in the mmdvm_bridge_TGXXXX service file somewhere?

any suggestions?

Steve,

Another year has gone by and I haven’t made it to Hamcation. Maybe someday or even next year.

On my personal todo list for Ham Radio is to build a “Network” radio that just connects to Mototrbo and Linked P25.
Rather than engineer a bandaid version of components I would like to know more about your version.

Could you share your parts/bill of materials that you used for your “Super Duper Network Radio”?

Starting tomorrow afternoon and running through Saturday afternoon, I will be pretty much AFK (Away From the Keyboard) I will be in Orlando at Hamcation. Kurt K4SRN, Scott N3XCC and I will be manning outside space in the flea market. Kurt and I have done hamfeasts together in the SE for over 20 years. Scott is from Repeater Builder. He will have a quantity of STM32-DVM MMDVM boards. Stop by and say hi if you are at the hamfest. Scott and I will be available to talk MMDVM Kurt is a subject matter expert in a number of areas. I will have my super duper Network Radio running cutting edge DVSwitch Mobile. Thanks to Scott, we even have a map.

Stop by, shoot the breeze and BUY OUR STUFF! ;)

I am pleased to announce that Russell, KV4S will be taking on the job as editor of the Wiki for the AllStarLink subgroup. For the most part I will leave the Wiki to him and contribute content where ever possible. I encourage all to either contribute content or at least comment on what you need to see in the Wiki. I REALLY hope this cuts down on some of the repetitive questions. I hope we can point people to the Wiki and at least get them started.

If anyone else is interested in helping out with the Wiki for a subgroup, please contact me offlist.

How about in 2 boxes?
Box1: AllStarnode 12345

Box2: HBLink/ConfBridge DMR TG22222
         192.168.1.30

Please help me to figure out...

For decent D-Star audio you must have the Hardware Vocoder. Period.!

Thank you everyone. I got it working with ircddbgatewayd compiled from the better source you provided.

My main issue was not having an example conf file, weird they don’t ship the package with one.

Thanks to the group for sending that conf file.

P.s. DSTAR Audio seems to be YUCK using analog_bridge op25 on the Analog—> digital. Very bassy and cuts out on low level, are there any adjustments or EQ? Maybe there is some usrp EQ program.  I probably need to get a USB dv dongle, but I really wish everything could run at the same vm server...

I missed the original issue by not seeing enough of the email for some reason.

I could not get mine installed for the lack of ability to install wxwidgets.
Seems like a massive install requirement for a little install.
Not sure why, but wxwidgets will not compile for me so I put it aside.
