Welcome to DVSwitch
Purpose
1) Allows “local” networking during an outage of the regional national/international network server.
2) Allows a local network operator to “blend” upstream feeds from different Networks (capital N on purpose). These Networks can’t get their act together and learn how to play nice with each other (everyone guilty as far as we are concerned). They may not like people doing this, but the solution is to grow up and work with each other, and not keep trying to force people to take sides.
3) Allows local segregation of localized traffic with more flexibility.
4) Allows experimentation with linking and how it’s done (part 97 specifies experimentation and advancement of the radio art are a core part of amateur radio).
Mission Statement/Position
WHEREAS the Networks continue to be largely islands and are not working together to create a unified network of Networks.
WHEREAS no firm reason has been given by any of the Networks why a *competent* local network operator cannot make this work effectively.
(US ONLY)
WHEREAS 47 CFR 97 (Amateur Radio Service) specifies that a core component of amateur radio is experimentation and advancement of the radio art [97.1(b)].
BE IT RESOLVED the core group of US amateur radio operators and experimenters organized around the DVSwitch project, and in the spirit of USA 47 CFR 97 and its intentions, support the *responsible* and *thoughtful* use of digital voice networking tools to create localized networks that will interconnect to the national/international Networks, and will support users of its tools in order to do this in the most effective and sustainable way possible.
Re: P25 Only Connecting to Some TG's
Adrian Fewster <vk4tux@...>
You need to update P25Gateway to include the all TG voice file
support by G4KLX. Before that only 10xxx TG's were announced.

Ok, on that, the fact you could connect 10200 meant that your
hostfile path in ini was already correct, only the content could
be the cause.

Solved. I thought that if TG was in drop-down, it was also entered into the appropriate .ini files. Now that I know, I will inter others. tnx for speedy response Steve and Adrian.

Have you compared your P25 Host file to https://github.com/g4klx/P25Clients/blob/master/P25Gateway/P25Hosts.txt ? If the TG (Reflector) is not in your P25Hosts.txt, you wont
connect, on that TG selection.

Looking forward to the English version. Downloaded the current (Spanish) version...ran it on the Pi. Looks good, wish I knew more Spanish... Thanks for your efforts - N0ECT - Pensacola.

IPSC was reverse engineered. There’s way more I don’t know about it than what I do. Mostly I figured it out by brute force, and a few folks stepped up in the early days with nuggets of info that helped. There’s going to be a lot about it we don’t ever know.
I’d recommend simply trying to change the password, flip the master/peer relationship, strip down to the basics in the subscribers and if applicable, the repeater (no enhanced channel access, tx interrupt, etc) and start from there.

Weird. Well we're going to swap the machine for a known good one. Going to do more testing in the home lab than the repeater site.

Looks like all of the packets from the incoming voice stream are failing as authentication. I’d never seen a case like that previously, where the link establishment ones pass, but the voice stream doesn’t.

I don’t have even a single MOTOTRBO repeater anymore. When I sold the last one was when I stopped developing DMRlink. Could be some fluke with the password, some extra Motorola gratuitous feature enabled, or if you’re running the latest firmware, I suppose they might have changed IPSC somehow.
