Welcome to DVSwitch
Purpose
1) Allows “local” networking during an outage of the regional national/international network server.
2) Allows a local network operator to “blend” upstream feeds from different Networks (capital N on purpose). These Networks can’t get their act together and learn how to play nice with each other (everyone guilty as far as we are concerned). They may not like people doing this, but the solution is to grow up and work with each other, and not keep trying to force people to take sides.
3) Allows local segregation of localized traffic with more flexibility.
4) Allows experimentation with linking and how it’s done (part 97 specifies experimentation and advancement of the radio art are a core part of amateur radio).
Mission Statement/Position
WHEREAS the Networks continue to be largely islands and are not working together to create a unified network of Networks.
WHEREAS no firm reason has been given by any of the Networks why a *competent* local network operator cannot make this work effectively.
(US ONLY)
WHEREAS 47 CFR 97 (Amateur Radio Service) specifies that a core component of amateur radio is experimentation and advancement of the radio art [97.1(b)].
BE IT RESOLVED the core group of US amateur radio operators and experimenters organized around the DVSwitch project, and in the spirit of USA 47 CFR 97 and its intentions, support the *responsible* and *thoughtful* use of digital voice networking tools to create localized networks that will interconnect to the national/international Networks, and will support users of its tools in order to do this in the most effective and sustainable way possible.
Re: ASL to DSTAR and ircDDBGateway config
No errors or warnings in ircddbgateway log?

Re: ASL to DSTAR and ircDDBGateway config
Steve,
been doing some more playing. Have tried several different reflectors in the reflector1 field of ircDDBGateway. When I start ircDDBGateway I see a message from MB that is linking to whatever reflector I specified and also hear a voice announcement of this via iaxRPT. But next in MB I see DSTAR status set to unlinked. If I key PTT on iaxRPT, see my call and public IP in ircDDBGateway log. Any ideas? Thanks, Ed W8VT

I don't have a description of the fields, but here is a sample you can edit. Mostly call sign etc. <http://dvswitch.org/files/HAM/ircddbgateway> Steve N4IRS

Knew very little about DSTAR until started playing with this. It certainly is a little bit different. Ed W8VT

Don't set the TG static on BM and retest. Are you running a bridge or DVSM? Steve N4IRS

I am no expert but make sure you are in root when changing tg and then save

I have rebooted the Pi and it still continues to connect to TG 315136 and not 315135. I think this issue is due to BrandMeister. It eventually cleared. BrandMeister was looking for a TG 4000 command to clear. Thanks! Ted KD4EG

Re: P25Reflector linking to XLX
Yes there is. Works well but a lot of work.
P25Reflector - P25Gateway - MMDVMBridge - AnalogBridge - AnalogBridge - MMDVMBridge - XLX P25Reflector - P25Gateway - MMDVMBridge - AnalogBridge - AnalogBridge - MMDVMBridge - Hlink3 - XLX Look back old messages

P25Reflector linking to XLX
Jon KM8V
Is there a way to bridge a P25 reflector to XLX? Right now I have a YSFReflector -> YSF2DMR -> XLX but I haven't found a similar way to do it with P25.
Do I have to go to analog and back to something else in order to do it? Thanks & 73 de KM8V

Re: Hytera DMR Gateway
Hi,
I am trying to connect my hytera repeater with hytera dmr gateway (I had followed the video) but it doesn't work.
The error is:
./gw_hytera_mmdvm: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I checked with apt but I can't find libcrypto.so.1.0.0
What can I do? 73 Marco IW0RED

It's easy enough to git clone and compile from the github path I
gave before.

I suggest you wait for the next release of P25Gateway via apt. But the choice is yours. Steve

Re: P25 Only Connecting to Some TG's
Adrian Fewster <vk4tux@...>
You need to update P25Gateway to include the all TG voice file
support by G4KLX. Before that only 10xxx TG's were announced.

Ok, on that, the fact you could connect 10200 meant that your
hostfile path in ini was already correct, only the content could
be the cause.

Re: P25 Only Connecting to Some TG's

Have you compared your P25 Host file to https://github.com/g4klx/P25Clients/blob/master/P25Gateway/P25Hosts.txt ? If the TG (Reflector) is not in your P25Hosts.txt, you wont
connect, on that TG selection.
