Re: Soon we will have Uspr Client to use it in Windows?

The new USRP Client app is in Python and uses tkinter for its user interface.  I have never tried to use it with a screen reader, so I do not know how it will work.
I am excited to hear your results when it is released and hope to adjust any properties in the app to make it work better for the blind.
From my research, other have asked about tk and screen readers, and had not had good luck,, so this may be a significant development effort.

I'm certainly excited about this.

I've been using a SIP phone to connect to ASL, and thus, other modes from a Windows computer, with sub-optimal results. Also, I'm a totally blind screen reader user, and had some major problems with Zoiper, so I enabled and configured the SIP module and used something else.

It would be nice to talk directly to USRP from Windows. I assume this is how DVSwitch on Android works? I don't have an Android device, only iOS.

Moto firmware conflict? #dmrlink

I upgraded several Moto repeaters to 2.09.+ and may no be regretting it. Are any of you running this version and experiencing authentication issues post upgrade with dmrlink.py, confbridge.py, or IPSC_Bridge.py?

Can work audio from Mic In or Inline Sound for USRPAudio.py with vox control and convert to DMR? #analog_bridge

EA5GVK Joaquin

Hi Steve and Group.io.
Can you help perform this process.

Mic In SoundCard or Inline -> USRPAudio.py (with vox control) -> Analog_Bridge -> md380_emu -> MMDVM_Bridge -> DMR.
To use it for example to broadcast news or any speech that we program on our website.
Or simply to pass our SdrSharp Audio for example to DMR.

If possible I would like you to explain to me please, how can I do the main part
MIC IN or IN LINE (SoundCard) -> USRPaudio.py with vox control -> Analog_Bridge

Any can help me?
Many thx.

Re: DVSwitch XLX C4FM (YSF)

All it does is auto connect a nominated module to the YSF client on first connect.

Without this feature you can connect to XLX (seen in repeaters/nodes) in limbo with no module allocated until a radio wires-x request is done to do so from the client system,

Once done, then in comms with that module and seen in users/modules.

That was it. Working great on NXDN now.
Thanks Steve.

Problem is NXDNGateway
Turn off Daemon in NXDNGateway.ini

Re: nee help set up ysf to dmr and fusion

Raul,
For YSF to DMR you only need one instance of MMDVM_Bridge looks like this:

DMR<->mmdvm_bridge<->YSF

Re: nee help set up ysf to dmr and fusion

Raul,

I'm not sure about the repeater as I don't run one and i'm not familiar with fusion.

This is a great guide to bridge DMR and YSF: https://dvswitch.groups.io/g/main/wiki/Bridge-DMR-to-YSF-Narrow

I've heard the simplest way to bridge wires x with a ysf reflector is to use the original openspot connected to the YSF reflector and it's frequency set to the simplex frequency of the wires x node radio.

Hello Andrian,
Thank you for your response, I already use this default configuration for the Y module on the XLX425 (YSF-France.fr).
If there is no possibility from the DVSwitch to change the module it does not matter. With C4FM radio sets, you can change XLX modules. Thank you for the info.

My best wishes to all.

Re: DVSwitch XLX C4FM (YSF)

Adrian Fewster <vk4tux@...>

It is not possible to determine the YSF connect module from any external system, other than radio wires-x function, with no YSFGateway in the connect path.,

i.e direct connect from mmdvmhost., such that xlxd can read the wires-x traffic.

The default module connect is defined in main.h with autolink enabled in xlxd src.

#define YSF_AUTOLINK_ENABLE             1                                   // 1 = enable, 0 = disable auto-link
#define YSF_AUTOLINK_MODULE             'D'

Any YSF connection traffic is immediately converted to DMR within xlxd, and two xlxd YSF connects cannot transfer data (incl GPS) to each other.

Re: Error code help #dmrlink

It was solved by turning off authentication. The machine connects to a raspberry pi within the network that converts it to mmdvm to the main hblink server. So the authentication was a little redundant.

In the future may play with it again but right now everything is working.

Richard,

Did you make any progress on solving this? I took a bit of a break on my project over the holidays and am stepping back in. I noticed Cort's comment about a potential firmware glitch so took a look at several of my 8300 machines as I have firmware ranging from 2.03 to 2.09, one of the latest versions before they jumped to the new CPS system. I do see this on the 2.09 machine and not on the 2.03 version. I may try to drop back on the firmware to see if that resolves the issue on that unit.
