Welcome to DVSwitch
Purpose
1) Allows “local” networking during an outage of the regional national/international network server.
2) Allows a local network operator to “blend” upstream feeds from different Networks (capital N on purpose). These Networks can’t get their act together and learn how to play nice with each other (everyone guilty as far as we are concerned). They may not like people doing this, but the solution is to grow up and work with each other, and not keep trying to force people to take sides.
3) Allows local segregation of localized traffic with more flexibility.
4) Allows experimentation with linking and how it’s done (part 97 specifies experimentation and advancement of the radio art are a core part of amateur radio).
Mission Statement/Position
WHEREAS the Networks continue to be largely islands and are not working together to create a unified network of Networks.
WHEREAS no firm reason has been given by any of the Networks why a *competent* local network operator cannot make this work effectively.
(US ONLY)
WHEREAS 47 CFR 97 (Amateur Radio Service) specifies that a core component of amateur radio is experimentation and advancement of the radio art [97.1(b)].
BE IT RESOLVED the core group of US amateur radio operators and experimenters organized around the DVSwitch project, and in the spirit of USA 47 CFR 97 and its intentions, support the *responsible* and *thoughtful* use of digital voice networking tools to create localized networks that will interconnect to the national/international Networks, and will support users of its tools in order to do this in the most effective and sustainable way possible.

The other guy said that he was a problem with the software. I had to take it off wait until the new. Update cuz I wasn't being able to communicate on the dmr or anything else.

No, DMRGateway is not covered because most of the time it is not used. As to your DMR not working, all I can say is check your configuration. Steve N4IRS

I discovered that the documentation does not cover the editing of DMRGateway.ini, nor does "systemctl enable dmrgateway" work. Maybe it is not supposed to. However DMR is not working on my image, so I am eliminating possible causes.
Does this mean that this is covered elsewhere or was it left out? If left on because it isn't needed, maybe we should note that. I need to dig into it more to see if I understand what is happening with DMR. -- jb N4NQY

Documentation
Jay
What a great job. I just ran through the whole process. I only had one glitch. the collectProcessDataFiles gave me an ASL node list not valid. Not a big deal but I was not expecting that.
My next step is to check out the mobile app documentation. I actually understood the steps, the edits that had to be made, etc. Kinda foolproof. Thanks again. It really cleared up a lot of questions and issues I had been trying to solve on my own. You might look at draw.io for a free drawing tool. I have use it for flowcharts, etc and it is easy. -- jb N4NQY

Re: need to find a way to link hblink or ysf or mmdvmbridge to wires x room
David
For now we are using a hotspot connected to a ysf reflector and a wiresx node running in simplex and low power dummy load to join them.

Re: Access to a Fusion FCS room
#dmrlink
As of today, MMDVM_Bridge can not directly connect to a FCS room. You would have to use YSFGateway and set the startup to the FCS room you want to connect to. Then steer MB to your YSFGateway.

Hello Gary
You can use Xlx or Hblink without BM.
If connecting ysf to dmr you loose gps. Most people have dmr ids.

Re: need to find a way to link hblink or ysf or mmdvmbridge to wires x room
Hello Gary
Pressed the send button.
Lots of software wants to use the wires-x button to change rooms. This has caused endless problems.

Hello Gary
Wires-x to openspot2 to xlx works. C4fm to Dmr.
Wires-x to modified MMDVM_Host to Ysfreflector works. Works great until someone transmits with the x button still enable on there radio.
Wires-x to Fcs Reflector using openspot works.
Ysf to Dmr. Use MMDVM_Bridge.
You think you have problems with Brandmeister wait till you link wires-x into the system. For two years everything was fine until most software wants to use the wires-x

Thanks for getting it back on the radar. If I had to prioritize the two issues I’m experiencing it would be 1) minimum TX duration setting in MB (to stop our random BM user block message) and 2) DMR audio level difference. 73, ...Gary

Re: Nxdn to Nxcore
At the end of NXDNReflector.ini you will need to put the IP to the NXCore server [NXCore] Enabled=1 Address=110.232.114.40 #Address=44.131.4.1 TGEnable=5057 TGDisable=3456Debug=0 In this example my nxdn reflector is connected to the VKCore service.

Re: Nxdn to Nxcore
I already talk to them it's something to do with one of the files on my end i just taught I would ask since there alot of guys setup Nxdn Reflector threw dvswitch like I did that might point me in the right direction
|

Re: Nxdn to Nxcore
Your best option would be to ask the admins of Nxcore. This has
nothing to do with DVSwitch software.
