Re: Dvswitch app.. can not connect?

Steve N4IRS

Charles,
If I understand the question you want to connect to 2 different nodes. I assume from the no computer comment, you do not have a node of your own. If I have this correct, you would need the node owners to grant you access to their nodes from DVSwitch Mobile. So in short rather then connecting to your node and then to their node, you would connect directly to their node.

Re: BM to XLX via MMDVM_Bridge - Doc version 2.0

Hi Steve did you ever update the doc ?  Looking at implement this solution whilst waiting for DM to create the XLX interlink.   Basically I want to connect XLX070A to BM TG2345974.   Any suggested configs or alternative methods of achieving this ?   My eventual aim is to also include Echolink so looking and adding a Allstarlink server (which will run on seprate server on same LAN) into the equation later with an MMDVM_Bridge hooking into XLX070A.

Also to add to the equation I currently have running on the same server another ysfreflector GB COVARS that uses YSF2DMR to currently connect GB COVARS to BM TG2345974.

So current setup is
GB COVARS (YSFreflector) -> YSF2DMR -> BM TG2345974 with XLX070 running on same server with no connections.
Plan is to do this to keep GB COVARS so following this arrangment on server 1
GB COVARS (YSFreflector) -> YSF2DMR -> XLX070A -> MB-XLX -> MB-BM -> BM TG2345974
And on server 2
ECHOLINK -> Allstarlink -> md380emu - > MB - XLX070A(which runs on server 1)
Is this config possible? Can this all be ran on one server or would it be better to keep them separate ?

The other guy said that he was a problem with the software. I had to take it off wait until the new. Update cuz I wasn't being able to communicate on the dmr or anything else.

I am having the same issue, I noticed this after reinstall from server crash. It was on PHP 7.3 when it happened. Upgrading to PHP 7.4 did not help either. Ran auto-refresh add-on in Chrome with 1 second setting for the time being.

Jay,
No, DMRGateway is not covered because most of the time it is not used.
As to your DMR not working, all I can say is check your configuration.

What a great job.  I just ran through the whole process.  I only had one glitch.  the collectProcessDataFiles gave me an ASL node list not valid.  Not a big deal but I was not expecting that.

My next step is to check out the mobile app documentation.

I actually understood the steps, the edits that had to be made, etc.  Kinda foolproof.  Thanks again.  It really cleared up a lot of questions and issues I had been trying to solve on my own.

You might look at draw.io for a free drawing tool.  I have use it for flowcharts, etc and it is easy.

For now we are using a hotspot connected to a ysf reflector and a wiresx node running in simplex and low power dummy load to join them.

We get the occasional new hotspot user pressing the WiRESX button causing our WiRESX node software doing the bridging to crash and restart.  For use that is somewhat painless and only affects the bridge traffic between YSF to WiRESX  for about 2 seconds gap. I like your method of going to DMR to strip off those WiREX control characters from the data stream. However, I suspect you also loose the GPS data as well. So those running Fusion to Fusion across the bridge with GPS no longer see distance or callsign/name. Is bridging DMR  to XLX dependent on the BM network or is it self supporting? M

Not at the moment, I am working on a separate project at this time and needed the resources. Logs showed no usage between November through January. If it's something that people feel is useful, I can put it back online.

Re: Access to a Fusion FCS room #dmrlink

As of today, MMDVM_Bridge can not directly connect to a FCS room. You would have to use YSFGateway and set the startup to the FCS room you want to connect to. Then steer MB to your YSFGateway.

Ernie,

Thanks for your response. What is the reason behind using the OpenSpot 2 to bridge your WiresX to DMR vs YSF?  Our random BM user blocked message is our biggest annoyance because once it starts it follows any transmissions on the room until we stop the bridge or there is an hour without a activity. We have one user who triggers it anytime they key up.

Hello Gary
Pressed the send button.

Lots of software wants to use the wires-x  button to change rooms. This has caused endless problems.

Hello Gary

Wires-x  to openspot2 to xlx works. C4fm to Dmr.

Wires-x to modified MMDVM_Host to Ysfreflector works. Works great until someone transmits with the x button still enable on there radio.

Wires-x  to Fcs Reflector using openspot works.

Ysf to Dmr. Use MMDVM_Bridge.

You think you have problems with Brandmeister wait till you link wires-x  into the system. For two years everything was fine until most software wants to use the wires-x

Steve,

Thanks for getting it back on the radar. If I had to prioritize the two issues I’m experiencing it would be 1) minimum TX duration setting in MB (to stop our random BM user block message) and 2) DMR audio level difference.
