Yes double check ysf gateway port.  Everything has to match and it will work !

Uli,
Do not worry about the Dashboard. You want to look at the MMDVM_Bridge log file. If you setup MMDVM_Bridge.ini and DVSwitch.ini as the wiki states, all you should have to do is point MMDVM_Bridge at the 2 systems you want to bridge see below:

[DMR Network]
Enable=1
Address=hblink.dvswitch.org <---------- Point this at the DMR network
Port=62031
Jitter=360
Local=62032
Password=passw0rd
Slot1=0
Slot2=1
Debug=0

[System Fusion Network]
Enable=1
LocalAddress=0
LocalPort=3200
GatewayAddress=ysfreflector.dvswitch.org <-------- point this at the YSF reflector
GatewayPort=42166 <-------- Set this to the proper port for the reflector
Debug=0

Both RPi´s are running in the same Network 192.168.10.xxx behind a firewall.
I was able to get the MMDVM_Bridge Dashboard running but it does not show any links or connection attempts from HT´s and the status is always idle.
How do I get the MMDVM Bridge to link my reflector to the Brandmeister TG i have entered in DVSwitch.ini?

Is there a complete detailed description which values in MMDVM_Bridge.ini and DVSwitch.ini and possibly in any other hidden config files or somewhere else need to be changed/adapted and how?
I have done the suggested changes of values in the config files  like from this https://dvswitch.groups.io/g/main/wiki/Bridge-DMR-to-YSF-Narrow
but there are a lot of unanswered questions e.g. what do I put in "DMR adress" (I assume its the Brandmeister  Master??) or in YSF Gateway Address (is it the URL of the other Pi that runs the Reflector?)
What other ports do I need to open up on the firewall ?
How should the config files look like for my setup?
I have tried everything I could think of but no luck, the Bridge does not work as it should

As far as I've been able to "see", YSF does always show low audio level when received on DMR.
I guess it has some kind of link to the need to use YSF on DN modulation when using multimode nodes.
Anyway, in the same line if thinking it does not make make sense when they use their YSF only nodes (so they can use DW and theorically improved audio response) and I have the same results on DMR side.

I agree about comments on low audio level.
It looks like a "brand mark" on YSF.

Anyway it's easy to fix:
Tell the colleague on YSF to SPEAK UP.

Hi Mike:

Very cool. Thanks for looking at this.

I agree re digital modes. Also, Fusion radios tend to have some dithering built-in, or something. There always seems to be some constant low level white noise on those radios when in YSF mode, for some reason. I don't hear that on DMR or DSTAR. To be fair, I don't have any YSF equipment myself, and am hearing this through DMR, but theoretically, that shouldn't matter.

For me, the modes with the greatest range are DMR and DSTAR on the loud end and fusion on the quiet end.  Not that the AMBE is different, but the different radio manufactures tend to have vastly different front end gains defined by default.  Playing on several of the bridges where all of these modes tend to be present.

Hi all:

For the entire time I've been using DVSwitch, I've had usrpAudio=AUDIO_USE_Gain on Analog_Bridge. I'd like to use AGC, as dynamic range from DMR can be quite wide, but I find the attack and release to be way too fast, yielding a very crunchy effect, even with moderately hot DMR audio. Decreasing the gain just turns down the output. The input is still just as squished, just quieter. I like the idea, just want a smoother implementation of it. I think increasing the release time a little, and perhaps raising the threshold slightly would improve things, but I don't see a way to do this. Is this possible at all with the algorithm currently being used? If so, could this be added as a set of user adjustable parameter in Analog_Bridge?

Thanks and 73

phil - you did not say how you got to where you are, but this looks like a typical missing dahdi module problem.

If it is a new install of the existing ASL image you may just need to compile dahdi from the directory where the source is.

If you have done an update to the OS and did not "pin headers" then you need to follow the readme that covers that topic.

Re: Talkgroup Announcement

The updated version of P25Gateway is in Github. Make sure you get the Audio subdirectory also. You can not change the voice messages in this one either. The difference is in the new version the announcement is the TG numbers only. No more "North America" The old version had the words built into the code and could be changed IF you had the tools. The first release Jonathan did had another phrase for disconnected, Mike and I submitted the change that produced "disconnected"

You must be using an old version of P25 clients because the current version uses number sequence to announce the talkgroup. The system that originally used the location announcement was P25NX. The reason for the change to the number sequence was to allow for the P25 reflectors that weren't covered by the previous type.
