Welcome to DVSwitch
Purpose
1) Allows “local” networking during an outage of the regional national/international network server.
2) Allows a local network operator to “blend” upstream feeds from different Networks (capital N on purpose). These Networks can’t get their act together and learn how to play nice with each other (everyone guilty as far as we are concerned). They may not like people doing this, but the solution is to grow up and work with each other, and not keep trying to force people to take sides.
3) Allows local segregation of localized traffic with more flexibility.
4) Allows experimentation with linking and how it’s done (part 97 specifies experimentation and advancement of the radio art are a core part of amateur radio).
Mission Statement/Position
WHEREAS the Networks continue to be largely islands and are not working together to create a unified network of Networks.
WHEREAS no firm reason has been given by any of the Networks why a *competent* local network operator cannot make this work effectively.
(US ONLY)
WHEREAS 47 CFR 97 (Amateur Radio Service) specifies that a core component of amateur radio is experimentation and advancement of the radio art [97.1(b)].
BE IT RESOLVED the core group of US amateur radio operators and experimenters organized around the DVSwitch project, and in the spirit of USA 47 CFR 97 and its intentions, support the *responsible* and *thoughtful* use of digital voice networking tools to create localized networks that will interconnect to the national/international Networks, and will support users of its tools in order to do this in the most effective and sustainable way possible.

All you need to use is MMDVM_Bridge.

Unfortunately, I can’t really help, other than to ask if you are attempting this installation on Debian Buster. A friend recently ran into this, and ended up using stretch instead, because it just worked.

The analog connection from the repeater is a Repeater Builder RB-USB RIM to a Motorola CDM-750.

As Mike sais, you may be hot from analog to digital. Take a look at
you Analog_Bridge.ini

Hi Justin,
What kind of audio fob are you using? I am also having similar issues. However, I suspect there's something wrong with the audio fob I am using. This is because the audio of my IAX connection via DVSwitch mobile has excellent C4FM/DMR audio output. Geoffrey VE6GCD

Re: #dmrlink Audio Quality Issues

I guess there is lots more to know. In your tests, what is the input to your ASL node, through USB radio interface, Local mic in computer, a asl linked station etc... In the rough, it sounds like your ASL audio is hot. Just because
it sounds good on asl output does not mean it is correct on the
input side. So before you adjust anything, verify that part or you will be
chasing your tail later.

Greetings Everyone!
I have a DVSwitch instance spun up and running and am having some audio issues. DMR > Analog: Sounds Great Analog > Allstar Node: Sounds Great Analog > Allstar to >> DMR sounds really bad. The people could hear me but had a really hard time understanding what I was saying. Are there some settings changes I can make to help with this? Thank you in advance! Justin

Re: Allstarlink
Dexter,
Are you attempting to build the Allstar node from scratch, or are you using the pre-configured Allstar distributions? Stay well, Justin

Re: Is there a simple way for Bridging a Brandmeister TG to an XLX Reflector (new 2020 Version)
I hit reply to quick lol, we use TG6 once we connected on XLX reflector on pistar.

Yes two instances of MMDVM_Bridge:
bm tg <->MB_bm<->MB_xlx<->XLX ref Point first MB_BM to BM and second MB_XLX point to XLX reflector. On DVSwitch.ini cross DMR port. If you want XLX <-> YSF you can do the same as you mentioned one instance of MB in another project which I prefer. 73,Eric

Is there a simple way for Bridging a Brandmeister TG to an XLX Reflector (new 2020 Version)
Uli
"Simple" question:
How do I bridge a BM Talkgroup to an XLX Reflector. Do I really need 2 instances of MMDVM_Bridge? How do MMDVM_Bridge.ini and DVSwitch.ini look like? I have successfully bridged a YSF Reflector with one instance of DVSwitch/MMDVM_Bridge to a BM Talkgroup in another project. Is there a similar way to do this with my XLX Reflector running the new 2020 version? The XLX Reflector works fine with C4FM and D-Star (using Ambe Server), connecting to DMR XLX via TG6 works fine too. Now I want to make it easy to our DMR users here so that they just can work with the local TG they are used to. thanks for any advice

Re: Image for Raspberry pi3 with Debian 10 Buster with DVSWICTH SERVER, HBLINK3 AND HBMONITOR.
Ken, Good morning, there is no download link from the website, you do the update from the menus. You do it the same way you upgraded from version 9.0 to 9.02. Vy 73, Eddie-KQ6K
