DVSwitch Server

Steve Siesel [K4KSA]

Steve..

On my new Vultr server I have ASL running and had DVSwitch-server. I thought something was wrong so in removed it. Upon re-install all of the files did not populate. Here is a sample of the Analog_Bridge directory:

Missing is Analog_Bridge.ini and dvsm.macro. The other directories are similar in missing the .ini files.

I’ve tried apt-get update –fix-missing and apt install dvswitch-server –f

Any thoughts?

Steve

Need to see the section of the log from Analog_Bridge and MMDVM_Bridge when you transmit.

I just finished installing dvswitch server and everything seems to be working fine, except when I key up in NXDN: instead of my callsign, it's shown the callsign of a Japanese ham!!!!!!!
This happens on every tg I go in NXDN. (Luckily in the other modes my callsign is properly shown).
This is crazy because I have no idea where dvswitch gets such information!!
Can it be a bug?

PS
Yes I have entered my assigned NXDN id.

problem solved. The portnumber on the reflector side was wrong

Screenshot showing both using p25 and dmr    dmr shows it keys p25 but nothing and p25 does not show anything to dmr

Adrian,

You have a better chance of a informed answer at <https://dvswitch.groups.io/g/HBlink> This is the subgroup for HBlink.

Good Afternoon All.  I am using hblink to take a pair of MMDVM_Bridges and link them into an XLX server.  The only issue is I do not see a way to have hblink automatically connect to a particular module on the XLX reflector.  I know using MMDVM OPtions of XLX:4001 will auto connect to Module A, this does not work for HBlink.  Currently I have hblink taking audio in from the bridges on the correct talkgroup and sending audio to XLX on TG4100.  In theory this should route the audio to module A however it still will not auto link to the module.  Am I missing something simple?  Is there a way to do this?

Re: Dashboard #best_practices

Steve N4IRS

Install a web server with php support
add the dashboard files into /var/www/html
The dashboard is a modification of the ysfreflector dashboard. You may find more complete instructions there. When I get time, I'll build apt packages for the reflectors and dashboards.

Re: DVSwitch Dashboard

Steve,

With your help got the "connect to Allstar node at boot time" working.

Edits only needed inside  rpt.conf
(below what is working for me now)

Under
[46141]
startup_macro_delay=20      ;this turns out to be very important
startup_macro = *52

[macro]
2=*7345479#      ;this is what I added  trying to get my Allstar 46141 to connect to Node 45479
;1 = *32011#
;2 = *12001*12011*12043*12040*12050*12060*12009*12002*12003*12004*1113*12030#
;3 = *32001*32011*32050*32030*32060#

In rpt.conf  under    ; Mandatory Command Codes   ;I added

73= ilink,13      ;this is intended to be a permanent connection

The trick above prevents me from (at boot time)
Having to login as  dvswitch
Then run   sudo als-menu
The go to:  5 in the Menu   (ASL Asterisk CLI)
then type     CLI*>    rpt fun 46141 *345479

Thanks!   73s

Re: Dashboard #best_practices

The DVSwitch Server dashboard is in a apt package for buster. dvswitch-dashboard
The reflector dashboard is here <https://github.com/N4IRS/MMDVM-Install/tree/master/P25/P25Reflector-Dashboard> When I get time I'll make it a stand alone git repository.

Anything is possible as far as breaking something. I can't say other then backup.
The P25Reflector dashboard shows you what is happening on the reflector.
The DVSwitch dashboard is more MMDVM_Bridge centric.

What is possible?
What will the P25Reflector dashboard give me and what will the DVSwitch dashboard give?

Re: Dashboard #best_practices

Are you looking for a P25Reflector dashboard or adding the DVSwitch Server dashboard?

Can I add a dashboard to my P25-AB (and reflector) without messing up a very well working server?  To date, I've simply tailing the logfile for reflector connections.

Is there a repo to only add the dashboard?

2=*7345479#      ;this is what I added  trying to get my Allstar 46141 to connect to Node 45479

hmmm,
I think this should be:
2=*345479#      ;this is what I added  trying to get my Allstar 46141 to connect to Node 45479

Unless You have *73 defined as something else

(below rpt.conf doesn't work)

I edited  rpt.conf

Under [46141]
startup_macro_delay=20
startup_macro = *52
