Re: installing DVSwitch-server on Strech

OK, I only need this for a static bridge with ambe hardware anyway, so the dashboard isn't required. It is not installed now anyway, re: previous errors.

How can I then install dvswitch-server without the dashboard?

I would uninstall dvswitch-dashboard while you decide.

Need some advice YSF bridge to DMR

Komkit Listisard

Hello,  I am looking to bridge my YSFReflector bridge to my friend DMR TG52007.  Not sure what information I need to provide here to get started.

I have YSFReflector up and running and I have DVSwitch server up and running on the side.  Followed some instruction but got confuse at:

in DVSWitch config

Not quite understand and not really what port number or IP to put here.

[YSF]
address = 127.0.0.1             ; Address to send AMBE TLV frames to (export)
txPort = 35100                  ; Port to send AMBE TLV frames to (export)
rxPort = 35103                  ; Port to listen on (import)
txWidePort = 35105              ; Port to send IMBE TLV frames to for YSFw (export)
fallbackID = 1234567            ; In case we can not find a valid DMR id in the database, export this one
exportTG = 52007                ; Which TG to export
slot = 2                        ; Export slot
RemotePort = 6073               ; Port to send Gateway commands to

Could someone please kindly guide me through the process?

DVSwitch server not linked anymore #analog_bridge

rademaar@...

Hi,

yesterday I installed the Analog Reflector and everything was working great.
Today I could communicate whit a other Ham station that was added to the user directory.
I changed the talk group list and this was working fine I thought.
But I did not see any activity on the brandmeister server.
I took a screenshot of the dashboard of the DVSwitch server.

As you can see it is not linked in the modes.
In the Monit service manger everything is green, also if I click on the DVSwitch server link.
The Reflector as you can see below is working fine.

Settings that I have made.
Analog_Reflector.json:
  • DMR ID 2045160
  • abAddress 10.0.0.34 (local adres of the server)
  • usrpTxPort and usrpRxPort 50100
  • mobilePort 50000
  • wsPort 443
The Analog reflector is working but the Analog bridge is not linked to one of the modes.
I can connect with DVSwitch mobile on android whit the use of my external IP adres I have from the ISP.
I can select a talk group but no connection.
It seems the DVSwitch server has a internet connection.
I did an update and checked all the settings in the DVS menu.
Aso the pasword is correct. If you need some extra information let me no.
I can manage myself in Linux whit the basic commands.

Thank you in advance for your help.

A novice's peculiarities....

I recently installed DVSwitch on a spare Raspberry Pi 3B and it seems to be working perfectly, however:

- I installed on an existing working RPi rather then from the image. I don't appear to have a dvswitch account. Does that matter?

- I added a DVstick 30 (with the device powered down...), configured again, and the functions appear to be working correctly. I've not been able to do A/B testing but I feel the quality is better on DMR. Is there any way from the dashboard (or otherwise) I can check that the DVstick 30 is working and in use?

- The Monit function appears to have stopped working, after the DVstick 30 install. I get no response from the :2812 port, and if I try:

sudo monit status

I get I set of error messages including:

/etc/monit/conf-enabled/ysfparrot:5: Program does not exist: '/usr/bin/systemctl'
/etc/monit/conf-enabled/ysfparrot:6: Program does not exist: '/usr/bin/systemctl'
[]
/etc/monit/conf-enabled/system:6: Program does not exist: '/usr/bin/echo'
[]
/etc/monit/conf-enabled/analog_bridge:7: Program does not exist: '/usr/bin/systemctl'
Cannot create socket to [localhost]:2812 -- Connection refused

I've not used Monit before so I'm unsure where to start trouble=-shooting!

Thanks,
David

David,
I would first backup your data before you attempt this. I can not promise everything will go well.

in /etc/apt/sources.list.d you will find a file named allstarlink.list or dvswitch.list. There should only be one file.
replace all occurrences of the word stretch with buster
save the file
apt update
apt upgrade

test
if you have a problem I suggest you use the new DVSwitch Image for the RPI and either eit the files or use the dvs menu. The dvs menu is very easy to get a server running and upgradeable in the future.

All of the functions are on the same system. XLXD is bound to the public IP of the system and ambed is running on 127.0.0.1. All inbound connections for D-STAR, DMR, and YSF come in to the XLX330 IP address.

Ambed <------> XLXD <---------> BM 3103 <> TG311070
                  |
                  +-----> UDP/42000 as YSF #83603
                  |
                  +-----> UDP/20001,30001,etc as D-STAR XRF330/DCS330/XLX330

I've started to look into using hblink3 between XLXD and BrandMeister. BM connection would be an OpenBridge to hblink3 and then DMR on TS2/TG9 <> XLX:4001. Not having much success so far.
