Re: Mobile App Database Update for ALS Node List

Steve N4IRS

Alan,
I assume you mean the AllStar node list. To do that while connected to a AllStar node requires the node be setup to process the DBUpdate macro. The easiest thing to do is to connect to node 100. You will find node 100 at the bottom f you account list. I have setup 100 to upload a fresh node list to the client. You will see a toast (popup) telling you download had completed.

Re: Allmon2 / Asterisk

me@...

Likely just a username/password issue or a misconfiguration in allmon.ini.php. Make sure:

host=
is set to
host=127.0.0.1:5038

Verify user= and passwd= match the settings in /etc/asterisk/manager.conf
A correct configuration should look like this:

[general]
displaysystemname = yes
enabled = yes
;webenabled = yes
port = 5038

bindaddr = 127.0.0.1   ; Local interface only!
displayconnects = yes

[admin]
secret = 2rzm3sove5
read = all,system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user,config
write = all,system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user,config

Mobile App Database Update for ALS Node List

Alan

In the mobile app there's a button on the config page Update Database Files.. it objects if not connected to a node and beeps if you are. But nothing gets updated - so it appears
The node list in the app is old, node descriptions are all old, callsigns are old.
How do you update the node list in the App?
Alan

What 4G LTE Broadband Modem???

What 4G LTE Broadband Modem (or other modem) are many of you using in your vehicles that allows for you to take advantage of your MMDVM or allstarlink node?

And does the use of it appear to your service provider as a "hot spot" or as just another phone on your plan?

Trying to help a friend that travels most of the time get a  "mobile" node operational.

Thank you,

William

Re: DVS install on Hytera PNC380 ?

Thanks to Steve the group for the help and suggestions in getting this all working properly,

It's an awesome bit of software on a pretty nice hardware platform.

Quite impressed so far, just a bit of fine tuning needed to get it the way I want .

Thanks for that Steve,

Email sent off last night .

Look forward to getting the system working on the Hytera hardware, I think it will be a nice combination.

Send the full UUID to dvswitch.inad@... I'll tell you how to send payment and send you the code you need.

I now have the message :

Contact DVSwitch with this String

What is the recommended way to contact DVSwitch ?

Re: MMDVM_Bridge Crashes as part of P25 <-> DMR link #mmdvm_bridge

Andrew Lynch

Update: I had about an hour conversation over the P25 Reflector that ended up crashing multiple times on 4/2 at about 9pm CDT. I grabbed the logs from both P25Reflector and MMDVM_Bridge. They're on GMT so -5 is the offset.

One thing I noticed was that traffic from the Quantar repeaters (N0PBA is the gateway callsign) always ends with "network watchdog timed out" whereas traffic from me via a hotspot ends with "Network end of transmission".

Mic Gain Setting

dk5rq@...

Hello,

I observe different Mic Gain in the different modes. I start in DMR, switch to NXDN for example. When I switch back to DMR the Mic Gain is too low. I have to restart the Analog_Bridge and the gain is back to normal.
Is there any way to adjust Mic Gain for every mode seperately?

I am running a DVSwitch server (latest release I believe) that only has Analog Bridge <—> MMDVM Bridge on BM DMR. All other modes are disabled. I’m connecting to an ASL node (RasPi 4b) to send & receive the audio from the Analog Bridge. The server is running on an i7 processor with 8GB of memory, an SSD disk and uses a hardware fob in a 3.0 USB port to encode/decode the DMR. Both the server and the node are on the same network and the same gigabit switch.

I have noticed that the server audio lags the audio on another ASL that I’m using as a monitor by 2-3 seconds. My question is if there is anything I can do to lower the delay? I’d like to get it as real-time as possible. The audio sounds great so I don’t want to mess that up!

Re: Installing DVSwitch-Dashboard on top of existing DVSwitch/Quantar-Bridge Install

Steve D. Jones

I went through the same thing yesterday. Ended up doing a fresh install and still had the same issue.

In the end, I think what fixed it was an apt update followed by an apt upgrade after I got the pi imaged.

The only other problem I encountered was installing php5 for the dashboard. Ended up just installing php which seems to have given me php7.

The apt-get command can't find the package "Unable to locate package dvswitch-server". My sources.list file shows only one source, raspbian.raspberry.org. Is there another source I need to add to be able to install the new server?

They do, updating the data files is not a core element.

Mike,
I have no idea. We don't use DVlink. I suggest you ask them.

Is there a special command I can use to update the dmrids.dat file?

I already have configured networks 4 and 5; I need to configure network 3 to work on the HBLink network. I can still do that by just setting the HBlink server but I also wish to modify where it says TGIF (please see pic)

If this doesn't involve some major editing, could you please point me in the right direction? I also wish to change the popup message where it says "Wait for ....TGIF" into "Wait for ... HBlink". (see pic)
