Welcome to DVSwitch
Purpose
1) Allows “local” networking during an outage of the regional national/international network server.
2) Allows a local network operator to “blend” upstream feeds from different Networks (capital N on purpose). These Networks can’t get their act together and learn how to play nice with each other (everyone guilty as far as we are concerned). They may not like people doing this, but the solution is to grow up and work with each other, and not keep trying to force people to take sides.
3) Allows local segregation of localized traffic with more flexibility.
4) Allows experimentation with linking and how it’s done (part 97 specifies experimentation and advancement of the radio art are a core part of amateur radio).
Mission Statement/Position
WHEREAS the Networks continue to be largely islands and are not working together to create a unified network of Networks.
WHEREAS no firm reason has been given by any of the Networks why a *competent* local network operator cannot make this work effectively.
(US ONLY)
WHEREAS 47 CFR 97 (Amateur Radio Service) specifies that a core component of amateur radio is experimentation and advancement of the radio art [97.1(b)].
BE IT RESOLVED the core group of US amateur radio operators and experimenters organized around the DVSwitch project, and in the spirit of USA 47 CFR 97 and its intentions, support the *responsible* and *thoughtful* use of digital voice networking tools to create localized networks that will interconnect to the national/international Networks, and will support users of its tools in order to do this in the most effective and sustainable way possible.
I'm stumped....
Roger Davies
I'm using DVS Mobile. I can hear all traffic from TGs, but no one can hear me. I can go to Hoseline and hear myself. I checked to see if I could hear myself using hotspot, but no luck their either. DVS dashboard shows me keying up. I tried the TGIF network and all works perfect, I can hear and be heard. It's like I can get to the BM server, when I key up, but that's about it. Signal doesn't come out on any TG. I did a DVS server upgrade and no help there either. Checked BM Hotspot password and that's good. Any ideas? TIA. Roger N6DVZ

New Setup disconnects
Hi,
I have a ClearNode that I am attempting to connect to with DVSwitch Mobile I followed all the setup and config directions and the mobile app successfully registers. My AllStar node number automatically populates and I tap the Connect button. It appears to connect and then reads back (an announcement) “Node 1998” and then it disconnects (the hangup button greys out and the connect button becomes available again) but it stays registered. I feel like I’m super close to figuring this out and getting it to work - can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Pete KD2TCQ

Roger. Please post the MMDVM_Bridge log when you are transmitting
from analog to DMR. Also, include your MMDVM_Bridge.ini Remember to
clear out the password.

I've ran the programs in the foreground and from there everything appears normal as far as I can tell. Maybe it's something simple I'm overlooking but at this point I am at a loss. The DMRID file was a red herring. The actual problem was that the YSF mode was enabled but not YSF networking. That SHOULD not cause a segfault, but it does. It is on the list to be fixed. Steve N4IRS
