Patrick,
Thank you for the suggestions, they really help. It truly makes a huge difference on a busy node.

Re: Allstar voice ID's
A few things you can do:
In /etc/asterisk/rpt.conf:
1. Change the value of telemdefault. 0 = no telemetry, with the exception of initial connect failure messages, 1=on (default),

FWIW, I have been using a DVS image on Virmach from home and mobile for over a month and no outages that I am aware of.
Virmach makes it very clear that, with this budget plan, you are on your own

Oh, OK, I might do that as an exercise sometime. :)
Hmm, OK, still clear as mud how to get a TG into the file, but I will
try downloading it for my gateway using the script you mentioned in your

As to updating the host file, dvswitch.sh update will update all the data and host files. (/var/lib/dvswitch and /var/lib/mmdvm)

No, the gateway is pretty quiet. If you really want to see something, turn on debug.

Re: Audio stream of DMR talkgroup.
AB log path is set in the environment. Normally set by the systemd unit file. You can do that by:
AnalogBridgeLogDir=/var/log/dvswitch ; Analog_Bridge Analog_bridge.ini

Re: Audio stream of DMR talkgroup.
Steve,
You can't (don't need to) use apt-get.
You just need to copy the file/directory.
For example to copy the whole Analog_Bridge directory:
cd /opt
cp -rf Analog_Bridge

Thanks,
What is the apt-get command to install dvswitch as a second instance? To place it in a directory where I want it?

Re: Audio stream of DMR talkgroup.
Yes you can do that, the ports just have to be unique for the audio channels.
