Post your stanza. You did see the 1998 vertically?

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, all those values, including the one that you show as 1998, have my node number written instead. The same is true for the node values in the iax.conf file. But still, I get the voice saying "Node 1998" when I connect. I think it's actually working fine, it's just strange that it's saying the default node number.

Re: DVSwitch HAMVOIP

The LED color change is probably a GPIO setting in simpleusb along
with a event in rpt.conf. I'll see if I can find the info. Or maybe
Peter can supply the needed settings to restore operation. BTW, neat
idea the tri-color LED.

Hello Steve, that's perfect timing, downloaded latest HAMVOIP image this afternoon, installed it, got it working perfectly including Echolink, and for RF also working, I entered details as you suggested using the attached screenshot and radio kicked in, the only thing is that LED light on the Box from G7RPG no longer changes colour, when on stand-by (Blue), Rx (Red) and Tx (Green), stays permanently on Blue, but I can Rx & Tx OK.

I'm guessing HamVoIP look at extensions.conf exten => 2153,1,Answer exten => 2153,n,Playback,rpt/node exten => 2153,n,Playback,digits/1 <------------------ exten => 2153,n,Playback,digits/9 <------------------ exten => 2153,n,Playback,digits/9 <------------------ exten => 2153,n,Playback,digits/8 <------------------ exten => 2153,n,Set(CALLERID(num)=0) exten => 2153,n,Rpt,1998|P|${CALLERID(name)} ;;; The "CallerID" from IAXRpt

"Node 1998" message when connected to the node
Bryan
Hello,
I can successfully connect the DVSwitch app on my android phone to my Allstarlink node. However, when it connects, the voice says "Node 1998". Is this normal? In the extensions.conf and iax.conf files I changed all the instances where 1998 occurs to my node number. Also, in my Allstarlink Node information page, it shows no relevant information when I am connected, just "NOCID". Again, is this to be expected? Do I have an incorrect setting somewhere. Thanks, Bryan, KF1D

Re: DVSwitch HAMVOIP

It's not really grief, The more I know about the installs in the
field, the better I can tweak the install. From the picture it looks
like a clean BF888 based node. I don't see a reason why a stock
HamVoIP install should not work. I would go into simpleusb menu and
record all the settings. Then bring up a fresh HamVoIP disk and see
if you can get the radio to work. If that all works you can retry
the DVSwitch Server install.

With my current configuration allstar and echolink bridge working perfectly. Happy to reinstall fresh image from HAMVOIP but I really don't know if RF will work, I've taken a picture (attached) and it appears radio is connected via a USB sound card? Happy to give it a go as I have plenty of backups to revert back to. Sorry to give you all this grief! John

I wanted to be sure that the issue was happening BEFORE the installation of DVSwitch Server. After the reboot you are supposed to be able to change node number etc. That script uses HamVoIP templates that I modify. If that program is not run, the updated templates are not applied. Steve

So, do understand correctly, after restoring the backup and BEFORE installing DVSwitch Server, option 3 did not take you to setup node number etc after a reboot?

I can't see a new stanza created either, so I've manually entered the one you pasted and it tried to connect but errors with "Failure code: (3) Invalid Node number" I have Allstar and DVSwitch working perfecty on another Raspberry PI running Raspbian (I installed latest image from Allstar first, then manually installed DVSwitch) but without RF, which I was hoping to get (RF) working on HAMVOIP box. I don't mind using allstar via Echolink or RF, and at least I have DVSwitch for DMR, P25 etc on same box now. Many thanks, John
