Yes I worked out that it was a syntax error, many thanks.

Thanks Steve.

Interestingly, when I comment either the file pointer or the complete stanza, this still shows up in the log...

"Started the DMR Id lookup reload thread"

Perhaps a more ideal situation would not to even start the lookup thread if the file pointer and/or stanza is missing.

Thoughts?

Use pushFile, I was looking at the function name not the command name.

One reason I can see is for logging. Easier to lookup a callsign then a DMR ID when debugging.
That being said Comment out the file pointer for DMR ID lookup in MB.ini

Re: Add XLX reflectors to Dstar

This is what the "developers" sent:

- Create your reflector list (a text file) in /tmp called DSTAR_node_list.txt
- The file is a list of reflectors and human readable names:

REF001CL|||REF001 C

Where the REF001CL (for example) is REF 001 Charlie Link

and REF001 C is the text you will see on the DVSM menu

I would suggest your first entry be:

"       U|||Unlink"

Without the quotes, but including all spaces (they are significant)

- Once you have /tmp/DSTAR_node_list.txt created, upload it to your device with

a) make sure DVSM is running

2) make sure Analog_Bridge is also running

execute:

./dvswitch.sh pushFileToClient /tmp/DSTAR_node_list.txt

Done

I would stay far far away from the dv4mini stuff but that is just my personal opinion!

Firstly like to point out that I am a noob when it comes to DVSwitch so please be kind.

I am currently using DVswitch on a Rpi as the server and a tablet PC.

I am getting OK audio reports on DMR, it's not perfect but OK. I am using the emulated Codec

I have been offered a DV 4 Mini usb widget, would that improve the audio?

Appreciate any replies.

I actually used them just to perform backups of other servers and they have worked out just fine.

Re: Cloud hosting

Good to hear it's working. I would suggest anyone reading this thread keep the following in mind:

1: The VM is directly exposed to the internet with the ability to login as root. I strongly suggest a strong password. or a PSK.
Want to see something interesting? watch /var/log/auth.log
I like Shorewall to make the firewall easy to manage. Fail2ban helps too.
2: Watch your bandwidth. You get 500GB a month.

Add XLX reflectors to Dstar

Derek William Haden <facebook@...>

Firstly thanks for letting me into the group.

I have just set up a Rpi with DVlink and a tablet PC and a phone with DVSwitch, and so far so good.
When I look at the DStar reflector listing, it has limited entries, is there a way of adding extra reflectors on the Rpi so that they are available to DVswitch.

Thanks in advance.

i think you have to install libgps-dev and then the compilation will be successful

apt-get install libgps-dev
