Turn off Daemon in NXDNGateway.ini

Raul,
For YSF to DMR you only need one instance of MMDVM_Bridge looks like this:

DMR<->mmdvm_bridge<->YSF

Re: nee help set up ysf to dmr and fusion

Raul,

I'm not sure about the repeater as I don't run one and i'm not familiar with fusion.

This is a great guide to bridge DMR and YSF: https://dvswitch.groups.io/g/main/wiki/Bridge-DMR-to-YSF-Narrow

I've heard the simplest way to bridge wires x with a ysf reflector is to use the original openspot connected to the YSF reflector and it's frequency set to the simplex frequency of the wires x node radio.

Re: DVSwitch XLX C4FM (YSF)

Hello Andrian,
Thank you for your response, I already use this default configuration for the Y module on the XLX425 (YSF-France.fr).
If there is no possibility from the DVSwitch to change the module it does not matter. With C4FM radio sets, you can change XLX modules. Thank you for the info.

My best wishes to all.

Re: DVSwitch XLX C4FM (YSF)

Adrian Fewster <vk4tux@...>

It is not possible to determine the YSF connect module from any external system, other than radio wires-x function, with no YSFGateway in the connect path.,

i.e direct connect from mmdvmhost., such that xlxd can read the wires-x traffic.

The default module connect is defined in main.h with autolink enabled in xlxd src.

#define YSF_AUTOLINK_ENABLE             1                                   // 1 = enable, 0 = disable auto-link
#define YSF_AUTOLINK_MODULE             'D'

Any YSF connection traffic is immediately converted to DMR within xlxd, and two xlxd YSF connects cannot transfer data (incl GPS) to each other.

Re: Error code help #dmrlink

It was solved by turning off authentication. The machine connects to a raspberry pi within the network that converts it to mmdvm to the main hblink server. So the authentication was a little redundant.

In the future may play with it again but right now everything is working.

Tito,
What do you mean DVSwitch is not running. There is no program called DVSwitch.
You should run each program in the foreground to watch the output in real time while you transmit.

DVSwitch Server instructions refresh

All,

I don't have the source PDF to update but here is what I did to accomplish updating my DVSwitch Server in the cloud to use the new dvswitch.sh script instead of all the individual ini's and scripts.

Keep in mind since my install is cloud (no usb or spare ambe device) I have not setup Dstar and I don't really use NXDN and P25. I'm am, however, using EA5GVK's image on a PI at my house to play with those modes.

All I use in the cloud is DMR and YSF.

Good luck I hope you find it helpful:

DVSwitch Mobile
Installation & Initial Setup
Ubuntu 19.4
1. Install Ubuntu 19.4 in cloud or computer
Note: It is recommended that the server have a static IP address.
2. Login to the server open Terminal and obtain root priviliges.
Run:
sudo -s
3. Install DVSwitch programs:
Run:
cd /tmp
wget http://dvswitch.org/install-dvswitch-repo
chmod +x install-dvswitch-repo
./install-dvswitch-repo
apt-get update
apt-get install dvswitch
4. Download new binaries from Github:
Run:
cd /opt/MMDVM_Bridge
wget -O MMDVM_Bridge https://github.com/DVSwitch/MMDVM_Bridge/raw/master/bin/MMDVM_Bridge.amd64
chmod +x MMDVM_Bridge
cd /opt/Analog_Bridge/
wget -O Analog_Bridge https://github.com/DVSwitch/Analog_Bridge/raw/master/bin/Analog_Bridge.amd64
chmod +x Analog_Bridge
5. Run:
mv Analog_Bridge.ini Analog_Bridge_ini.save
wget https://github.com/DVSwitch/Analog_Bridge/raw/master/Analog_Bridge.ini
wget https://github.com/DVSwitch/Analog_Bridge/raw/master/dvsm.macro
chmod +x dvsm.macro
wget https://github.com/DVSwitch/Analog_Bridge/raw/master/dvswitch.sh
chmod +x dvswitch.sh

6. Install Python:
apt-get install python3
apt-get install python

from here you can continue the steps from the pdf:

I would suggest you look at the new ini and macro files so you understand how mode switching works (if you need it.)

so it's ok to delete the old ini's and .sh scripts?

If you are running the current Analog_bridge and dvswitch.sh from github:
With your DVSM connected
As root
cd /opt/Analog_Bridge
./dvswitch.sh collectProcessPushDataFiles

This will update the TG and reflector lists on DVSM.

We have set up and configure a new YSF for our group a week ago.

The YSF named US YSF MIAMI is showing on the Pi-Star software list as well in the DV4mini, openSPOT, etc. list.

My question, How long it takes to show on the DVSwitch mobile application?.

Thanks for all the great of this group.
