Oof, sorry I am mobile and cannot see screenshots. Switched to the laptop now :)

As Steve said, you've got an error being dumped by bridge.py that should be looked into.

Next, you've got a line after call start that says "Call not routed to TGID 9, target active or in group hangtime..." which means that when the call from TGIF started, a call from XLX was started, already running, or just finished on the XLX side.

I would check the bridge rules.

bridge.py is reporting a error you should look into.

To Mines
XRF065 from TGIF TG 650, this was working perfectly until today. Did no mod or changes.

I think it depends on the reflector. XLX reflectors don't care about callsign registration, where as DPlus do. What reflector are you trying to connect to?

Re: Question on DVSwitch setup for hotspot in the cloud setup

Using DVM to connect to the digital modes is exactly like connecting ASL to the digital modes. Consider this:

DVM <-> ASL <-> AB <-> MB <-> DMR Network

Without ASL:
DVM <-> AB <-> MB <-> DMR Network

You can use the ASL to DMR howto to configure the AB to MB connection. <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eN50Csr29eAprBu7eKA0Bfa2XUcsXw5iktY1Ey-Qjkg/edit?usp=sharing>

I should have asked this question in the DVMobile subgroup. Over there I found this article and was able to convert to English using translator.

Re: Two YSF Reflectors

Steve N4IRS

MMDVM_Bridge does convert the "foreign network" in this case YSF to it's own internal format called TLV. You will have 2 instances of MMDVM_Bridge. Each instance connected to it's respective reflector. The crossover will be done in the respective DVSwitch.ini

MMDVM_Bridge_1:
[YSF]
Address = 127.0.0.1             ; Address to send AMBE TLV frames to (export)
TXPort = 35100                  ; Port to send AMBE TLV frames to (export)
RXPort = 35103                  ; Port to listen on (import)
FallbackID = 1234567            ; In case we can not find a valid DMR id in the database, export this one
ExportTG = 1234                 ; Which TG to export
Slot = 2                        ; Export slot

MMDVM_Bridge_2
[YSF]
Address = 127.0.0.1             ; Address to send AMBE TLV frames to (export)
TXPort = 35103                  ; Port to send AMBE TLV frames to (export)
RXPort = 35100                  ; Port to listen on (import)
FallbackID = 1234567            ; In case we can not find a valid DMR id in the database, export this one
ExportTG = 1234                 ; Which TG to export
Slot = 2                        ; Export slot

Steve,

OK.  I thought the bridge converted one format to another, but could not connect two of the same thing, hence my question about an intermediate format.

You are saying that it does not convert as such -- it's just that it cannot have YSF on both sides?

I guess I need to figure out what the INI files will look like and that it will be clearer.

David,
I think you misunderstood what I said in 4133. A single MMDVM_Bridge can only handle instance of YSF. 2 bridges "cross connected" can handle passing traffic between 2 reflectors. You will connect the YSF TX port on bridge 1 to the YSF RX port on bridge 2. And vice versa.

Thanks Steve.

Your posting #4133 of June 10 has a lot of information.

Since this requires two bridges, and each bridge cannot transfer the same format, should DMR be used as an intermediate format?  (Or am I missing the picture entirely?)

Can I do that with the DVSwitch suite of programs?  If so, please point me at the starting point.

Thank you.

David,
Yes you can. You will need two instances of MMDVM_Bridge. Your flow dioagram will look like this:
YSFReflector_1 <-> MMDVM_Bridge_1 <-> MMDVM_Bridge_2 <-> YSFReflector_2

Here are 2 examples.  This is a OB connection to BM 3102 for the Mental Ward talkgroup 31665 and I change the talkgroup to 65 on my side.

    'MentalWard': [
            {'SYSTEM': 'N3FE_WORK',   'TS': 2, 'TGID': 65,    'ACTIVE': True,  'TIMEOUT': 30, 'TO_TYPE': 'NONE',  'ON': [65,], 'OFF': [4000], 'RESET': []},
            {'SYSTEM': 'N3FE_HOME',   'TS': 2, 'TGID': 65,    'ACTIVE': True,  'TIMEOUT': 30, 'TO_TYPE': 'NONE',  'ON': [65,], 'OFF': [4000], 'RESET': []},
            {'SYSTEM': 'N3FE46',      'TS': 1, 'TGID': 65,    'ACTIVE': False, 'TIMEOUT': 15, 'TO_TYPE': 'ON',    'ON': [65,], 'OFF': [4000], 'RESET': []},
            {'SYSTEM': 'N3FE91',      'TS': 1, 'TGID': 65,    'ACTIVE': False, 'TIMEOUT': 15, 'TO_TYPE': 'ON',    'ON': [65,], 'OFF': [4000], 'RESET': []},
            {'SYSTEM': 'BM3102',        'TS': 1, 'TGID': 31665, 'ACTIVE': True,  'TIMEOUT': 2,  'TO_TYPE': 'NONE',  'ON': [,], 'OFF': [], 'RESET': []}
        ],

Here is just a simple talkgroup 2 not connected to bm.

    'NORPA': [
            {'SYSTEM': 'N3FE_WORK',   'TS': 2, 'TGID': 2,    'ACTIVE': True, 'TIMEOUT': 30, 'TO_TYPE': 'NONE',  'ON': [2,], 'OFF': [4000], 'RESET': []},
            {'SYSTEM': 'N3FE_HOME',   'TS': 2, 'TGID': 2,    'ACTIVE': True, 'TIMEOUT': 30, 'TO_TYPE': 'NONE',  'ON': [2,], 'OFF': [4000], 'RESET': []},
            {'SYSTEM': 'N3FE46',      'TS': 2, 'TGID': 2,    'ACTIVE': True, 'TIMEOUT': 15, 'TO_TYPE': 'NONE',  'ON': [2,], 'OFF': [], 'RESET': []},

Re: HBlink rules.py

In openbridge bm sends whatever talkgroup you request to timeslot 1.  Multiple talkgroups can come across that stream at the same time.  I have many of these connected to bm3102 so on your rules you would just define 3102-OB in the rule section that connect to bm and if it wasn’t a bm talkgroup you wouldn’t put the in that section of the rules.
