Well,
I think you need to double check the port assigned paths RX > TX & TX > RX
Most likely the issue.

Re: DMR to DSTAR

Steve,
I think Analog_Bridge.x64 is broken on Jessie.

mike@allstar:/opt/Analog_Bridge$ sudo ./Analog_Bridge.x64 Analog_Bridge.ini
./Analog_Bridge.x64: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `CXXABI_1.3.9' not found (required by ./Analog_Bridge.x64)

I had this one way audio issue that I was trying to resolve and I just guessing this may be why.  I tried installing a new version of GCC but that opens up a whole can of worms with unment dependencies.  I'm going to try and compile a newer gcc from source and see if that resolves the CXXABI error.

Re: Have ASL <-> DMR working, want to add P25

Steve N4IRS

Jim,
Yes, you will need a second instance of Analog_Bridge configured for P25 and pointed at a new node stanza. You will NOT need a second instance of MMDVM_Bridge. Enable P25 and P25Network in MMDVM_Bridge. Point the second Analog_Bridge.ini AMBE_AUDIO TX and RX ports at the default P25 RX and TX ports in DVSwitch.ini.

In short, MMDVM_Bridge can support more then one network. The only time you need a second instance of MMDVM_Bridge is when you need a second instance of a network already in use.

Re: I need help to setup a "Stand Alone DMR Master Server" (NO INTERNET)

Steve N4IRS

Adrian,
Yes, HBLink or DMRLink can do this. it depends on what your client is. MMDVM or Motorola repeater.
We have a subgroup dedicated to HBLink. You are welcome to join there also https://dvswitch.groups.io/g/HBlink
It's a new subgroup so there is not a lot of activity but we have 14 members subscribed.

Please don't misunderstand, this is the main group and all messages are welcome here. Your choice.

We are preparing a system builder script that will include all of the DVSwitch programs. This may make your task easier.

I have a raspberry pi 3B and have Raspbian Stretch Lite install on a 32Gb Sd Card.

From my research I believe tha HBlink can do this but I have been unable to confirm this.

Can anyone help me?  I am in the UK and would appreciate anyone that can help me setup this project

Re: P25Reflector

Steve N4IRS

You would not want to have a single reflector pointed to by two different TGs. Since you can not share a reflector with other TGs. You would run a second instance of P25Reflector on a different port. Then add the second TG and port to P25Hosts.txt for P25Gateway.

Has anyone built a P25 reflector using VS 2017 for windows? I would like to build a local private reflector for us to test on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: DMR to DSTAR

Run everything in the foreground. You should see the traffic at each program. Check the port numbers TX to RX.

Re: DMR to DSTAR

MMDVM_Bridge does not use a Vocoder, Analog_Bridge does. For DMR <-> D-Star you will need to transcode. So, you will need 2 instances of Analog_Bridge. Analog_Bridge can use AMBEserver to access or it can access the Vocoder directly. For DMR<-> D-Star you will want to have at least 1 real hardware Vocoder.

Re: DMR to DSTAR

Matthew 2E0SIP

You don't *need* AMBEServer alongside Analog_Bridge, it's only required if your transcoding chips are connected to a different device than the one Analog_Bridge is running on.

You will however need at least one hardware transcoder for the D-Star side, whether it's connected locally 9r VIA AMBEServer

Right now there is a discussion going on the MMDVM Yahoo about the number of P25 and NXDN reflectors. Jonathan feels, and I agree, that the number of reflectors should be limited. When the YSF reflectors started coming online, we started seeing a explosion of the number of reflectors. In my opinion, if we have too many published reflectors, it gets hard to find activity. Again, this is my opinion. Jonathan is the person that controls the host files.

There is nothing stopping you from bringing up a reflector. For choosing a TG number, simply do not use a existing number. Some people try to fit in the existing numbering system. Others are using DMR TG numbers.

That is correct. What I posted was directly from the P25Gateway.txt as shipped from github.
