Re: What Ports need to be forwarded?

Steve N4IRS

Frank,
31100 and 31103 are used internally for Analog_Bridge to communicate with MMDVM_Bridge. You do not need to open those ports. As far as your connectivity to and from the DMR network, you do not need to open any ports. As long as you NAT and MMDVM_Bridge can reach the outside world on UDP port 62031, you are good.
The datafiles needed are downloaded via HTTP. You will need to be able to resolve addresses via DNS. Long story short, you do not need any inbound ports open.

What Ports need to be forwarded?

Frank C. D'Amato

I currently have the IP address of my DVswitch set to the DMZ in my router, and I would like to just forward the individual ports that I need forwarded for it to work.

Im using DVswitch to link analog to digital DMR.

I'm only seeing ports 31100, 31103 being used in my MMDVM_Bridge log file.

what other log files should I look at to see what ports I'm using.?

Derek,
I just checked this with Pi-Star. I am unable to login. Since Pi-Star can't login, MMDVM_Bridge will not be able to login.

dv switch losing connection with my allstar node

Jed Barton

Hey guys,

Hope everyone is doing well. So a bit of a mystery. I have dvswitch
setup on my device to connect to my allstar node. It works,, no
sweat. I can connect to the node, make outbound connections and
everything. However, if I let it sit for a while, probably 4 or 5
minutes, it will just disconnect from the node for no reason. I don't
see any errors on the screen. All i have to do is click connect, and
we're back in business. Anyone know why this might be happening? Is
there any sort of timer that I don't know about?

Cheers,

Jed

Yes I did update.

Unless you suggest otherwise, I’m going to install DVSwitch on this server using regular 64 bit Buster, the connect it to a RasPi on the same network.

Steve,

Is there a trick to getting ASL to load on 64 bit Debian 9??  Asterisk won't start because:

dev-dahdi-pseudo.device: Job dev-dahdi-pseudo.device/start timed out.

Jan  2 13:16:08 ddidig01 systemd[1]: Dependency failed for Asterisk PBX and telephony daemon.
Jan  2 13:16:08 ddidig01 systemd[1]: asterisk.service: Job asterisk.service/start failed with result 'dependency'.
Jan  2 13:16:08 ddidig01 systemd[1]: dev-dahdi-pseudo.device: Job dev-dahdi-pseudo.device/start failed with result 'timeout'.

I've searched and can't find anything on this that is helpful.  Is there a way to install a normal version of 64 bit Debian 9 and then download / install the ASL?

I have tried using the information from this page

Does not work, I have even tried using the ip address rather than the server address same problem, just hit a wall.

Has anyone else tried this? and succeeded?

There has been some maintenance carried out on the FreeDMR system and this has caused some log in issues. It's a new network so this will happen until they finally get it stabilised.
