Fusion node lists and tune string
G4WXN@...
What is the format of the tune string for YSF. Into a YSF node list. I wanted to link up to CQ_UK_1 2 and 3, but these don't show in the default YSF node list. Thanks in advance

You can connect to YSF reflectors and FCS rooms. You can not connect to wires-x rooms. Same as you can not connect to a wires-x room from a hotspot. Steve N4IRS

Thanks for the reply.
Doing some trawling of previous posts, as I understand it, to connect to a YSF reflector I use the dvs tune string with the reflector ID number and add an 8 infront. So CQ-UK 1 is 41729, so my tune string should be /dvswitch.sh tune 841729 have I got that right? -- Derek G4WXN

Yes, if it's a YSF reflector, precede with an 8. If it's a FCS room
precede with a 9.

Make sure you are in the proper mode: ./dvswitch.sh mode YSF ./dvswitch.sh tune 841729

Yes mode is YSF.
Although the tune command appears to work, it's not connecting as far as I can tell. I have attached the YSFGW ini file and the log file. My guess I am doing something stupid -- Derek G4WXN

I don't think it will matter, but add this to bottom of
YSFGateway.ini

I see this line in the YSFGW log

The ID of this repeater is 00000
is there any significance to this?

Added those lines to YSFGW and rebooted, but sadly no change. Using the reflector number gets me nowhere. However I have succeeded in connecting to Hubnet, if I use the IP address and port number, but the reflector number doesn't work. Think I must be missing something.

Log file attached. I have tried this from the dialer and from a script I call to use YSF, the output results are the same

This may sound like a stupid question, but it just occurred to me- Do I need to register somewhere for YSF? -- Derek G4WXN

No you do not.

Is your system up to date? You don't have any of the remote control ports in your DVSwitch.ini Please show the output of: /opt/MMDVM_Bridge/dvswitch version all Steve

OK, So, in the interest of safety add these to your DVSwitch.ini

I added the remote port details to each stanza in DVSwitch.ini. I assumed that was right.

Did you restart mmdvm_bridge?

You now have the remote control ports defined. MB should be sending
commands to YSFGateway. SHow the AB and MB logs when you issue tune
command. Make sure you issue a mode YSF first.

I have attached another YSFGateway log file, and added some notes to it.
Linking appears to work if the dialer has IP address and port, this I do from a customised YSF node list by a long press on B.
If I enter the dialer string 857727, as you can see in the log nothing happens.
