Is there a simple way for Bridging a YSF Reflector to an XLX Reflector (new 2020 Version)

Eric-K6KWB

Uli,
Just to be clear, this is a YSF Ref <-> XLX Ref modul A

See sample below - this will connect to XLX??? module A

MB.ini

[DMR Network]
Enable=1
Address=ip or DNS of XLX reflector
Port=62030
Jitter=360
Local=62032  >>> pay attention to this port will interfere if duplicate somewhere in the same server.
Password=passw0rd
# for DMR+ see https://github.com/DVSwitch/MMDVM_Bridge/blob/master/DOC/DMRplus_startup_options.md
# for XLX the syntax is: Options=XLX:4009
Options=XLX:4001  >>>>module A
Slot1=0
Slot2=1
Debug=1

[System Fusion Network]
Enable=1
LocalAddress=127.0.0.0
LocalPort=0
GatewayAddress=ip address or DNS of Ref
GatewayPort=42000  >>> YSF port
Debug=1

DVSwitch.ini

[DMR]
Address = 127.0.0.1             ; Address to send AMBE TLV frames to (export)
TXPort = 36100                ; Port to send AMBE TLV frames to (export)
RXPort = 36103                  ; Port to listen on (import)
Slot = 2                        ; Export slot

[YSF]
Address = 127.0.0.1             ; Address to send AMBE TLV frames to (export)
TXPort = 36103                 ; Port to send AMBE TLV frames to (export)
RXPort = 36100                 ; Port to listen on (import)
FallbackID = your id            ; In case we can not find a valid DMR id in the database, export this one
ExportTG = tg9                 ; Which TG to export
Slot = 2                        ; Export slot

Thanks Eric,
I´ll give it a try

Hi Eric,
no it does not work, I can see the YSF Reflector connecting to the Bridge but the Bridge does not connect to the XLX Reflector.
I have tried different ports, I can ping the XLX Reflector but MMDVM_Bridge does not connect to it
What I get is this:

E: 2020-05-04 16:56:08.936 DMR, Connection to the master has timed out, retrying connection
M: 2020-05-04 16:56:08.936 DMR, Closing DMR Network
M: 2020-05-04 16:56:08.936 DMR, Opening DMR Network
E: 2020-05-04 16:57:18.947 DMR, Connection to the master has timed out, retrying connection
M: 2020-05-04 16:57:18.947 DMR, Closing DMR Network
M: 2020-05-04 16:57:18.947 DMR, Opening DMR Network
E: 2020-05-04 16:58:28.961 DMR, Connection to the master has timed out, retrying connection
M: 2020-05-04 16:58:28.961 DMR, Closing DMR Network
M: 2020-05-04 16:58:28.962 DMR, Opening DMR Network

I can see traffic coming in to the XLXRef but the Bridge doesn´t see it

I found it.
The reason why it did not work was the DMR ID at the top of the MMDVM_Bridge.ini, It had the two digit Brandmeister addon and that didn´t like the XLX Reflector and refused the connection.
The XLX Reflector was throwing an " unrecognized DMR ID" in the livelog and that gave me the final hint...

Thanks Steve and Eric for helping me out

Great Job! sorry I forgot to tell you that lol. DMR ID when connecting to XLX should only be your 7 digit DMR ID : )

No problem
if everything ran flawless out of the box, our hobby would be pretty boring...

Next project is bridging a genuine Wires-X Room to a YSF or XLX Reflector. Have you ever tried that ?

greetings to California
stay safe and healthy

Uli,

I am doing that, however it is using an Openspot 1 as an RF bridge. Not really optimal. It works MOST of the time, but I do have issues with WiresX node radio disconnecting when someone connects to YSF Reflector using a hotspot while having their WiresX button pressed.

My config is as follows. Hope it makes sense. Ihave an ASL with echolink node with DVSwtich running. I connected it to XLX711.
I can get on to echolink viam my cell phone. I have my hotspot connect to the XLX I can hear the echolink transmission from My phone  but I cannot hear any TX from my hotspot

 I am working on fixing it but that is where I stand.
All DMR no YSF yet
